Places like Gameinformer, IGN, Gamespot, etc are brand loyaltists. They do everything in their power to diss Nintendo, because it doesn't have all the established franchises that are M-Rated and American made.

I have the issue, and GI just ran an article on Infinity for E3. It looks quite boring if you ask me. Oh, wow, another Minecraft/Little Big Planet clone, with Playsets selected from a menu, as if they're standalone products.

"IF" I ever get Infinity, it's just for the kids. Even then, they will get bored of it quickly, because all you can do is play with the characters in their respective worlds. Nothing unique about that.

I am so sorry for the double post, but I was trying to view the new character leak pictures, but I couldn't see them because the page did not exist. I sense that Activision put them down and is the same instance as the " Lightcore Star Strike on Hat instance".

Loving most of these new characters. NOT loving the absence of poor Jet-Vac though. (Disney Infinity is gonna be awesome) :-D

Which Game Informer issue was it, you can say the issue number or cover. I might still have the issue, but if it's pretty old it might be in the recycle.

I was talking about the latest one, the July 2013. I definitely think you were talking about another issue. I think it was just last month they made a review about Swap-Force. Go and find the June 2013. I think we'll get answers there. You might still be talking about another though, so we'll see.

I don't agree. Skylander ALWAYS come out with fun and original characters (more or less...), and they are two different kind of games. Skylanders is an Action/Adventure Platformer, while Infinity is an open world. Also, I don't think Infinity figures will have upgrades and powers, like the Skylanders, but I'm not sure of it.

And Activision is able to make as much Skylanders as they want and Infinity cant, unless they release a new tv show or a new movie with new charakters wich is a lot of work just for a few charakters for a game.

Not necessarily. Infinity will do better than Skylanders on the character front, and maybe it's length but the creative aspect (the USP for this game) will become boring within a month of it's release. I'm calling it now. It'll go down the same route as Spore, LittleBigPlanet and the use of forge mode in Halo and only be used by a very niche audience after the first month and will become boring to play after the third.

I cannot say anything for Spore and Halo (since I don't play the first so frequently, and I don't own the second), but Little Big Planet is definetely not going down. Believe me.

However, we are going waaaaaay too much off topic. So, woud't be cool if at least one Earth Skylander would be related to sand? I can't believe they still didn't tought on it, for Earth.
Maybe the second sneak Swaplander is a sand-made character, that can turn himself into a sand storm, and disappear?

It could be like a sand version of Free Ranger's tornado. And then it also wraps himself with it, and become a cloud of sand and dust.

While I mostly agree with your post, you have to consider the already large and ever growing Disney fan-base around the country, compared to the relatively smaller fan-base of Skylanders. While I hypothesize that Disney Infinity will (slightly) sell better than Swap Force, I don't believe it will actually BE better Swap Force, gameplay-wise.

Here where I live arent many Disney fans. There arent many kids that are growing up with Disney anymore.Even more children are growing up with Nickelodeon and CN.And like already mentioned,Infinity is going to get boring soon. There arent going to be upgrades or a specific story.The toys look very cheap too, they are out of hard plastic and they arent detailed enough to compare them with the toys from Skylanders. Skylander could last for at least more than2-3 years if Activision wants too but Infinity is going to die in 1-2 years.I also have to say that Disney is getting a little bit old.I wont get infinity because its not worth collecting the charackter or even playing the game.

First off, the other Spin Swapper, will probably be Earth, secondly, I agree Disney will always have its huge fan base, but, they won't be able to continue with a new game next year because of the fact that they are just using characters from movies, they may sell better than SF, but, in the long run Skylanders will come out in as the victor in the end.

Yes, yes sure, you are right. Skylanders has a small fanbase, compared to the Disney one. But are Disney characters as appealing for video gaming, as the Skylanders? I don't think so. For what I have seen they have barely one attack (consisting in a different weapon for each character), and those optional weapons that you can buy separately, and they cannot even be upgraded. They may have a strong fanbase, and thus sell slightly better, but for what I have seen, Skylanders beats Infinity 4-2.

Back on-topic, the sand Skylander could be called Sand Swarm. Ad he could have sand, quick sand and ancient Egypt based attacks. He could also be in the shape of a mummy.

My idea for the earth/spin would be a mummy coyote with golden hammer fists named Shatter Storm.
