The role play section of this site is overrated.

I don't think it's over rated. Actually the RP section is one of my favorites sections to go to.

Okay, maybe not really overrated, but not as good as some users say it is?

I never really go over there so I don't mind what people say about it.

If it's fun for them, good! ^.^b

Role play definitely isn't my thing... Almost every single one of my online and offline friends love it and want me to join in, I decline because I'm just no good at it/I don't find it enjoyable.

I hope no one takes that personally or offensively... It's just my personal issue. It's great that some people find it really fun.

I hate role playing in general.

That would imply that people see the RP section with standards.

Seeing as roleplaying on this site got my typing like I am today... I'm going to say no.

My biggest problem with roleplays, are the one's that drag on with their fights.
Would you enjoy a roleplay with 15+ pages of the same fight/conflict?


It's simply a point of opinion.
Say, what defines something as overrated?

It would be nice to see what people think overrated means. To define it, as icedragon said.

I can't find a role play that's not Skylanders, wolfs, warrior cats or pokemon.


That's why I never go over there anymore.

Eh, I hardly roleplay on forums anymore, due to god-modding.

Sometimes it depends on what role plays you join and who else in them. Some role plays have a good story and start off good, but then sort of drag to stay alive. But as long as your having fun doing it, who cares? My favorite role play, The Haunting creted by cynderluv, strted off having many twists and talked about the characters and had a loy of action. To be honest, as it got up there in pages, we sort of got desperate to keep it alive, so we added twists that didnt make sense but not much action. I dont care if it seemed boring to anyone else, but to me it was to fun to role play with my friends and build up my characters and really get into the minds of my characters. Some role plays are centered around something you dont care for, like (for me) zombies an certain shows, so i just don't join them, but their are still people who like that topic and role play in it. I don't really know anyone that really talks about the role playing section very highly, but to me it holds many fun moments of having fun with friends and exploring your own characters and see the others characters develop.

Okay, the role-play I made, I want to close so badly but there are people actually enjoying it so it makes me not want to. Then the RPs I have join are either so I can practice or Im very interested in such RP.

If anything, it's underrated IMO.
