Yeah got that...I edited my post b/c it was confusing. Now I want difficulties to increase number of enemies or configurations of enemies...I get they have to keep in mind it's for kids--but still wanted to see a different challenge.

I will buy at least one of each element and movement type for the Swap characters and any of the newlanders that I really like (possibly all of them.) I generally don't get duplicate characters (reposes, variants, etc) so I will only buy the reposes of the characters I don't already own.

The only to Skylanders characters I do not have yet are Spyro and Boomer, so I plan on buying all Swap force and new landers, + S3 Spyro and hopefully a S3 boomer if he is made. The only way I will buy any reposed figures is if they come in a battle pack or they are in a 3 pack with a new lander.

Its a shame they dont add more gameplay variation to reposes. I just dont see the sense in buying a duplicate just for one new move.

Every new lightcore or s2 I find

For now, just the 3DS and PS3 starter. I'll wait and see what I can get around Christmastime after that, provided I don't change my mind/the early waves aren't awesome.

I'll be getting swap force for my bday in October, I also want Pkmn Y. That means all y saved up money will go towards swap force!

Now that I think about it....I could ask my parents for Swap Force for my bday and then get Pokemon X for Christmas (Literally a week after my birthday.....)

I'll probably have to buy 20 of each Swaplander, 1 to keep in the package and the other 19 to display all the possible swapabilities. I figure there will be some variants such as legendary and various others ie Gnarly/Scarlett, so the extra 3 of each should handle those variants for display. Any more than that would just be crazy...

My Devious plan:

1) Get Swap Force
2) Get alot of bad figures
3) Trade my bad figures with my friends
4) Bask in the glory of awesome skylanders!

JOKES!
My real plan is to mostly ask for skylanders this christmas. lol!

1 of each type of the swap characters the first day. Then about one character a week.

on release date i will get the starter pack (obviously!) lightcore hex (i pre ordered) and maybe magna charge or a-z of skylands (book with trigger snappy even though it isnt a swap force merchandise but i count it as swap force because it comes out the time swap force does).

I am going to get the Xbox 360 starter, all of the swap landers and Lc grim creeper and all core newlanders

I plan on purchasing the XBOX 360 starter pack, all swap force characters, all new core skylanders, as well as the 3DS starter pack if it goes on sale.

I plan on purchasing either the Wii or Xbox 360 starter pack, all the swap force all of the core skylanders who aren't getting lightcore, the lightcores of the new characters, and some of the reposes, mainly s3 and all of the reposed from ssa.

I will be getting the 3DS and XBox versions, as well as any packs I see. I will be hitting Walmart at Midnight, then around 3am I will be found sitting outside my local TRU, waiting for them to open, where I will proceed to buy whatever I didn't find at Walmart. Then it's a quick trip to Target for any exclusives they may have, then home to sleep. In between shopping periods, I will be playing Pokemon X/Y which I will have picked up the morning previous. Busy, busy weekend ahead!

My MAJOR buying plans for Swap Force- its pretty simple-

STARTER PACK- DONE! Not blowing a ton of money on this game- it doesn't intrigue me much. So the Starter pack is all I'm getting. And I'm likely to not ask for it till Christmas. So I won't be getting it right away like I did the first two games.

Buying Star Strike, Roller Brawl, Rattle Shake, Blast Zone, Wash Buckler, Grilla Drilla, Grim Creeper, and Riptide the first time I see them. The others I will just wing it and buy a figure anytime I go grocery shopping and they have one in stock that I don't own like I do now. Oh and any adventure packs.
I'll also pick up any that seem to be becoming rare. Getting the 360 version on release. I wanted to get it on a next gen system anyways so if the ps4 or xbox1 version come with anything special then I'll get it on one of those.

Here is my plans for the day one release.....
I have a 3DS and a PS3 in my house so I did a pre-order for both sets at Toys-R-US.
From what I have seen there is a completely different set of figures that come with the 3DS and the PS3 editions.
PS3 you get Wash Buckler (water), Blast Zone (Fire) and Ninja Stealth Elf (life).
With the 3DS version you get Rattle Shake (Undead), Free Ranger (Air) and Volcanic Eruptor (Fire).
With pre-ordering at TRU you of course get the Lightcore Hex with each starter but also I was able to get in my pre-order while they
offered the free 2nd figure of your choice. I will select two different figures to help round out my initial collection at that will be it. I plan on using
the $10 off coupons that we are getting with our Lays chip purchases to help bring down the cost by $20. If all goes well I hope to leave TRU with 8 different Swap-Force figures and two Lightcore Hex for $130. I know it doesn't sound as exciting as some of the rest of your plans but I think it will be a pretty good start for the least amount of money.

This will be my first Skylander Launch so it should be fun
Wife, kid and I will prop be going thou I may leave my son home and get him later. He's 7 and most this will be his xmas and birthday gifts so not sure we want him to be there.
Night Before:

1. Fill Tank
2. Go to sleep early
3. Empty Trunk/car of anything.


My plan so far is:
6:00 breakfest and dnd
6:30-6:45am be at the walmart down the block. Walk in look for any special variant (flocked etc). Maybe buy a cool fig or two, but most likely leave empty handed.
7:00-7:30- another walmart south of here then hope on parkway to next stop.
7:45-8:00 be at target down the road. uy 3 of each for the kid,wife and I. Look for variants and leave.
8:45-9:00 check another walmart thats next store.
9:00-9:30 Head to TRU look for variants and legenedaries, buy them and leave.
10:00 hope on parkway hit another target, followed by another target, walmart, target, then toysrus where i preordered my 3 games. Pick up 3ds, xbox and wii u versions with 3 lc hexs and 3 $10 figures. Look for items and leave.

This point it's either home or head out east farther for items. Get lunch and who knows.

Go home and go thru any treasures I may find.

Hold receipts and items and look for sales in the 120 days i have with my target stuff and 90-days with the rest.

I don't even have a 3DS, but the fact they are three totally different figures means I'm likely to grab that as well as the 360 version, and then sell just the game/portal.

Yeah, figure that each Swap character will be $15 and I am assuming the Eruptor is a color variant which the base figure would be $11 that would bring you up to $41. Plus you'd be either getting one or two free figures with your preorder anyway. I think it is a smart move to get a 3DS bundle too. If you use the $10 off coupon from Lays you can actually make out pretty good and you shouldn't have much trouble selling the game and portal.

I will go to my GameStop at around 9:00 (it opens at 10:00) they always have each of the wave one guys. Buy the swaps and the new landers

Just the starterpack and maybe i'll ask some for my birthday next year June... i don't want to spend all my money on figures like i did with Spyro's adventure and Giants.

Activision really couldn't have predicted when Pokemon would drop but SSA and Giants released later in the month if I'm not mistaken....maybe they should consider moving it. I can't see myself being the only one in this position and I adamantly believe this could potentially negatively impact sales. I mean..Skylanders is big but not Pokemon big.

Hopefully this way stores may have some sort of sale or something going on the week after. 3DS Swap Force I'll definitely hold off until Black Friday like I have every year. If no stores have it on sale, I'll just wait till Christmas.

This time, I'm gonna try not to rush it. I didn't need to pick up the Legendary 3 pack or L-Bouncer on release day, but I stupidly did and blew more money than I really needed to.

Yeah it comes for a problem for me too.... might have to wait for christmas to get Pokemon Y. Depends on how fast I can get the money for my preorder.

Anyways, my swapforce plans.

1) Get Swapforce 3DS starter pack (Yay My whole collection in the game at once )

2) Get Swapforce Xbox 360 starter pack.... not sure when. May have to wait til christmas or Black friday deal.

3) Get Dark Ninja Stealth elf, Blizzard Chill, Star Strike, Rollar Brawl, or any other skylander I like.

4) Slowly but surely over the months get 1 of each movement type.

5) slowly but surely get one of each skylander (I'm counting as have a varient of a character being the same as having that character.)

Imma get everything I can on day 1 and go on from there...

mythbusters live---what's that? (I know the tv show...not sure what this is) That sounds like the best part of your day to me.

I've got reserve for TRU (PS3) and Target (3DS). I guess I'll be there day one.

I'm going to see them in person. Pretty damn awesome

I plan on just getting at least 1 of each ability type and the ones I want. I only really collect animal Skylanders so I will be purchasing Free Ranger, Hoot Loop, Stink Bomb, Fire Kracken, Rattle Shake, Wash Buckler, Freeze Blade and maybe Gorilla Drilla. I want to wait and see what the other dig Skylander is like first. Still waiting to see if a rocket animal Skylander will be made. As for Corelanders, I don't care for any of them currently except Fryno.

I have to say this it is a tip I used for getting the wave 1 guys for giants at launch if you know acti revealed what was in wave 1 via photo I printed that photo out the day before release and used it as a checklist for hunting
