You're all slightly confused about the Disney Infinity Disks.

They work the same as the Heroic challenges, they give you extra speed, extra defense and so forth. Then there are a few "rare" like ones which will act as bonuses such as making the character invisible.

That is just an extra thing you would have to invest and store with Disney that you don't need in Skylanders.

I completely agree, the magic items are great, I would rather have a 3D figure in my hand than a picture of something on a disc.

Nobody can sue anyone because neither idea of the toys coming to life, the RF tech or the building game worlds were ever copyrighted by Activision or Mojang.

Skylanders and Minecraft was ripped off with Disney Infinity, yes. But they cant be sued because they are not violating anything. The only way they would get sued is if Disney infinity uses names or other characters from Skylanders.

The idea of the game talking back to the toys and saving data on them was the innovation that Skylanders brought.
The prototype game that was suggested years before Skylanders came out did the same thing that Funkeys did, and just unlocked the ingame character. But the thing that makes Skylanders awesome is that the character is saved on the figure, not the game - which also makes the cross-platform and cross-game play possible.

I have since they cancelled TRON Uprising.
Anyway, can we just ignore Infinity? If you like it, you like it, if you hate it, you hates it forever (gollum, gollum:P). I say the best way to keep the peace is just to ignore it. Don't mention it, don't start flame wars,
