Since the Skylanders games, the game pages have only been used for chain letters, spam, and unsupervised disorder made by the young users. They seem to use the game pages as a chatroom and even post new information on the games that can easily be overshadowed by every comment made 2-10 minutes time.

I think the game page comments should be disabled, you know, to make the young users properly use the forums for their discussions and where their messages can be moderated.

And also leave the game pages to be, well, pages for the games, and not be used as unofficial chatrooms for the kids.

Then the kids would go to other comments of the other Spyro games just to bring their Skylanders conversations there.

I have been unable to elicit any response from him on any of the issues I've reported for the last month or so. <.<

Why aren't many moderators paying attention to this? Instead of relying on other users to tell people game pages aren't chatrooms...they might listen to people with more authority despite being currently unable to delete game page messages. I think warning users who most often do this would be better instead of completely disabling something that's been...sorta apart of the site for forever.

But other young users will still use the game page as their chatrooms, even if others have been warned not to.

Well, people tend to follow what everyone else does, especially young people. If people are warned to stop using the pages for chatrooms, people likely won't start chatting nearly as much as they do.

I'll repost the message I just posted in the Skylanders pages whenever I see people chatting, perhaps on people's guestbooks...

Gah I don't mind it, if people want news they can always go into the forums. At least the spam or 'chat rooms' aren't there instead.
Disabling all of them seems a bit much, but this is just my opinion and I have no idea how to mod or run a site so ..yeah.

This reminds me of when a new user made a topic called: "Skylanders Chat Room" or something like that. It was just a topic for spam...

At least disable the Skylanders game page comments. The spam, off-topic discussions, and chain mail is like destroying the purpose of a game page created for walkthroughs and information provided by dark52. And Wild, I see that some of the young users have completely disregarded your warning and continued chatting anyways.

This is why I feel there should be some sort of automated welcome message or PM that new users get which explains the basics of the forum to them. <.<

The page comments would be filled with spam (like chain mail and icon walls), unmonitored discussions that could be inappropriate, and off-topicness that has nothing to do with game itself. In general, the kids had been using the game pages as their own public chatroom.

Even dark52 himself had posted a message on all the game pages saying "All off-topic comments will be deleted. Please do not use the comments system for conversations, instead use the provided forums for the game."

I don't see any negative or harming effects in any of that. They could put inappropriate things anywhere.

It may not be a big deal to you of course, but to some of us, it's annoying. Disabling the game page comments at least on the Skylander pages will force the kids to use the message boards like they're supposed to.

But we still need the game pages. If dark thought it was a big enough of a problem, he would've done something about it. And who are you to judge what everyone is supposed to do? I just think that this is being blown out of proportion. If it annoys you that much, why do you use it?

I know. I just don't see it as affecting anyone from enjoying the site, as the comments being good are not necessary to enjoy the site. At all.
