Everyone is calling Fire Kracken a "Chinese Dragon", but it resembles a Komainu (often called "Lion-Dog" in English) Japanese statue more, to me. So his design seems more Japanese than Chinese, but that's just my opinion.

Chinese dragons live in the ocean because....you know how a carp has those whiskers? Well those apparently turn into the dragons so like magicarp into gyarados (Pokemon)
