I suspect the S3s will be released early, maybe mid-September.

Series 2 & 3 figure being released early is good, as they can be used in the old games. But new figures would be weird to be released early, in my opinion.

This is an amazing idea. I hope it's the ones listed and more...lol they should just release them now...spread out the $$$.

I believe he thinks it's a dumb idea that the figs. are being released before the game. Just a guess though. I think it's a great idea so we can spread the financial impact out a bit.

I have a feeling they were referring to the merchandise rather than the figures - since the article goes on to mention how seeing the packaging was "unexpected" after mentioning the items being released before the game came out.

Blizzard Chill, Lava Barf Eruptor, Ninja Stealth Elf. I don't think they will also make a regular version of these characters, it doesn't seem reasonable to me. Maybe they are throwing in adjectives this time around, who knows?

They're just throwing in the extra names this time around - they're not variants, they're still S3/S2 characters.

I like the idea i just thought they are going to release swapers.

Not exactly so, because in game they will look and act different.

I wasn't going to get this game but liked the video from E3.

The guy in the gamespot interview said that kids were playing with giants/SSA figures at the beach. Costly toy playing in the sand and possible water. What were the parents thinking?

I personally found that comment dubious.

If you read it carefully, I think they meant the accesories, not actual skylander figures.

I'll stick with my katana and nunchuks a friend gave me. Back on topic, so characters won't be released before the game? That's almost a relief, as I don't think i can get the game at launch anyway.
