The icons on the page source for the Swap Force site confirm they're called "Series 3" characters. Also still mentions Lightcores so hey..I got proven wrong!

Variants have the same pose as the original skylander, but with different colors. If we get another Stealth Elf, than the 2nd one would be a variant.

The first part of the snake's name is Rattle, and you'll be able to level up to 20. My fan name for the snake is Rattle Ranger.

Maybe they're just showing that Giants and Lightcores from Skylanders Giants are compatible with Swap Force, but then why didn't they show the Series 2 logo?

Yeah, I think she will be a teleporting type. I don't think it will be Rattle Bones because he doesn't really have any bones showing... he is just a snake with a snake gun and cowboy hat.

I have just made a pretty brilliant observation. All of the Swap Force characters with the exception of Magna Charge and Night Shift have the first part of their name be a noun/verb (Stink Bomb) and have the second part be a noun (Wash Buckler). Hence, its possible that Rattle-whoknowswhat's second name is a physical thing.
