how will series 3 varients work on previous games? [CLOSED]

does any one know because apparently their backwards compatible but would they be non-varient or be as varient its confusing!

They'll probably appear as series 2 characters in Giants and regular characters in SSA. The series 2 legendary's appear as regular characters in SSA.
