Interesting observation, Kappa. Maybe they will have online? It would be nice if they did. It's certainly a good way to compete.

Yeah, because why would they show the PSN and Xbox Live logos if the game has no online features?
I think it's highly possible that skylanders finally has online gameplay, and that is just perfect.

LC Hex isn't exclusive right? If she is it will take FOREVER to complete our collections...

mybe they put that just to represent the online icon of the system but who knows mybe we get online : D

Im pretty sure that the other games have xbox live and psn (and nintendo wifi connection) on them. Or at least earlier posters/images did.

EDIT: ah see. Check out the Giants website. they have the psn and xbl logos there.

I think they just represent that the game links to those servers for achievements and updates because I've seen many games with those logos, but they didn't feature an online-play mode and like spyroflame said, the previous Skylanders games had those logos.

Not necessarily, SSA and Giants both have PSN and XBL logos because of trophy/achievement support - which technically count as online features.

Well, I guess it could work since he appears to have a snake gun - but then the "eyes" section doesn't make any sense for the base :/. It could still work.

The card also says 200 instead on 150

Interesting that the 3ds starter has different characters just like the first game. It was really annoying last year with the 3ds starter having 2/3 toys that were in console starters. So I'm happy they've gone back to adding different ones in the 3ds pack.

I'm guessing the Volcanic Eruptor is the 3ds variant this time.

So..that one with Volcanic Eruptor...maybe the 3DS starter set? Perhaps one that is exclusive to TRU?
I'd hate to think I'd have to get a bunch of extra versions of the game because I want these guys....who are arguably cooler than the other set we saw.

3ds pack with punch in ginats came with two we have in otther starter packs too and cynder being released in a single too
if 3ds starter in ssf does the same as with ssa , its ok!

So, theory time? Theory time.
They're gonna repose all of the "mascots" for the elements, along with the Giants guys for these "S3" things with the LC being the Forgotten Eight character. So my guess is:

Magic: Spyro and Pop Fizz. LC is Voodood.
Water: Gill Grunt and Chill. LC is Wham Shell
Tech: Trigger Happy and Sprocket. LC is Boomer.
Life: Stealth Elf and Shroomboom. LC is Camo.
Earth: Terrafin and Flashwing. LC is Dino-Rang
Fire: Eruptor and Hot Dog. LC is Sunburn.
Air: Whirlwind and Jet-Vac. LC is Warnado.
Undead: Chop Chop and Fright Rider. LC is Ghost Roaster.

I italicized the ones that have been confirmed. Still open to debate about Hot Dog, but since that's some new art that's not used anywhere, it's probably a safe assumption that is IS an "S3" artwork, which would further confirm my theory. Hopefully we'll get some word about the LCs so I can at least see if I'm right.

Dunno if anyone picked up on this, but the Stealth Elf in the Starter Pack isn't labeled as "Stealth Elf", but rather as "Ninja Stealth Elf".



Clever way to repackage them. Could the the "S3" characters all have special nouns before their names? Or could the Stealth in the starter pack actually be a variant? (Like "Volcanic Eruptor"?)
