Did Sproket have to be in this game!

Coming from a borderline misanhrope, I actually don't mind that there's a strict human character as a Skylander, and Sprocket is cool in her own right.

I'm with Sleepy on this. Don't like Sprocket? Don't buy her. I think Eruptor is a joke but I don't lose my head over it.

I personally will snag S3 Sprocket

I'm excited to see Sprocket coming back. :) She's cool and it's nice to have a tech lady (also, robot gals are awesome). :)

SERIOUSLY, if you like a Skylander just for his/her design, it's not right.
You need to look at the power factor/overall goodness of them, not just looks.
She's one of the most powerful Newlanders in Giants.

Er, I kind of take issue with that. I don't own any games but the first, and that one I can't play (no PS3) so I base all of my Skylanders purchases on looks. I've heard good things about Sprocket in-game and I hope I get to play someday, but I got her figure because she does look cool and I'm an avid supporter of female characters in games. :)

As an adult player who doesn't find any character particularly easy or challenging compared to the others, yeah, looks play a huge role in what characters I buy. If they look neat, they get a home. That's why I don't own Stump Smash, Boomer or Eruptor.

Unlike Boomer (who is useless as he is ugly) or half the other Skylanders.

I would never buy characters like Boomer, Stump Smash or Chop Chop.

I've got a Stump Smash, mostly because I found him marginally cool and he came with a 3-pack. I wouldn't have bought him as a single, but I'm okay with having him in my collection.

I didn't but sprocket, and I'm not gonna buy her until her S3 Comes out, grabbed I held out on the temptation.

Eh I personally dont like the design of sprocket and dont have her. But great news for all you sprocket fans! Mess up some trolls faces with that wrench! or turret! or bouncing bomb thingys!

I would have liked both Sprocket and Boomer to return, but I'm glad we at least got Sprocket as she's really cool, has a fun personality in the game,and is one of my favourite characters in Skylanders. As for those who say Boomer is useless, you should play as him in the original 3DS Spyro's Adventure. He's actually the best character in the whole game on 3DS. ; )

I know what you're going through camo. I mean why would they do that to poor and at this rate the other 7? It isn't fair to the other people who missed out on the others or dare I say imminent newer fans who never could get the lost 8. I say keep at least a form of every character if possible to give all buyers an equal chance for them.

i never had a boomer the creator even tild familygamer that boomer was ganna return now and can't KABOOOM!!!!!!!(demoman refrence) things since i dint get the chance to get him when ssa was out he was rare back then same with ghost roaster

It's pretty predictable that the newcomers from Giants will get a "series 2" version for the patch-switching/wow-pow.
Drobot has 3 toys already so it also makes sense for him to not return.

I actually was pleasantly surprised with Sprocket, her figured looked all plastic-y from the pics, but when we got it, it had a metallic spark that looked great! I'm pleased to see her return. Unlike most figs, she's not hack'n'slash. I do hope for more/better turrets though.

Indeed, and she's unbeatable in Ring Out (well, almost), if you can get in a good spot.

I got a sproket recently and her style jest isent my favrite ( own my favrite play style, weak and fast).

The Retired 8 are the best Skylanders i've ever had.

There's one thing I should add is that from what I know Activision is reusing two Skylanders in regular form, and a third in Lightcore form. There might still be hope for Boomer or Drobot.

I doubt Activision would want another Lightore Drobot, so Boomer it is! Or it could possibly be Drill Sergeant, but hopefully the former.

Well, let's be realistic about Boomer and remember that this is Activision. They aren't going to re-release a previously un-profitable character because gamers want him. Activision's motto is always "If it didn't work the first time, then it's not worth trying again", regardless of what actual video game fans say they want. From a business standpoint it makes a lot of sense because honestly most times gamers say they want something, they end up not appreciating it even if it does happen, and it doesn't make money.

^ so you think they would think that lightcore drill sergeant would be better? what would they even do with him all i can think of is his eyes lighting up.....wow that would be so much better than a boomer that had dynamite with fuses lighting up and maybe the bombs in his bag. plus if any of the people from toys for bob have been paying attention, people want boomer back. and also i hear that boomer was an overproduced character, if that is the case and they are afraid that boomer wont get good sales why not just release him in wave 1 and see if his sales are good and if they are bad, produce more characters that got better sales and then just release some more in the final wave

that theory makes absolutely NOOOOOO sense geez if you think a character is ugly force yourself to play them and you will warm up to them

I'm indifferent. I'm glad that she's getting reposed, but only because it means we can switch her path now... They should have done that from the start with new characters, but nooo...
Don't get me wrong, I really like Sprocket, but she's not at the top of my list for "repose this!". I wanted to see Boomer again. They should have just reposed new Giants landers and the unreposed eight, let all newcomers swap paths, and be done with it. If not that, give LightCores the ability to swap paths and a Wow Pow and repose the unreposed that way.

This does leave Giants themselves at an impass, of course... I'd just let those swap paths without reposes, they're already about $20 here and I won't be buying them again.

Not to mention Sprocket is already very strong anyway. Boomer, although insanely fun, just didn't cut it in Giants, thanks to his low HP and average speed. I think that Series 1 Sprocket will be fine for at least the next two games.

^This.I used to think Zook was ugly and horrible,UNTIL, I got his S2 on Christmas Day,and he is a really fun and cool character to me now.

The saddest part of all with Sprocket getting a s3 figure, at this rate Shroomboom will take the last spot in life and Camo will be left behind again. Now I like Shroomboom, but I know he has too many releases in Giants as it is and everyone really seems to hate him especially since he's in a 3-pack with Hex and Slam Bam no less.

I honestly prefer every other Tech over Boomer. I just don't see what is so great about him. His playstyle seems boring to me. Lob, Drop, and Smash. He just doesn't appeal to me. What do you guys like about him? I'm genuinely curious.

His attack style sounds like tennis shots.Lob,smash shot and a drop shot.Unrelated but might as well point it out.

It may not sound fun, but dropping barrels of trinitrotoluene that explode into three more pieces and placing traps on the ground? Amazing. It's a shame that his HP and speed are both mediocre because it makes him enjoyably challenging to use but he's the only Skylander that I find borderline-underpowered in Story. He ain't even a glass cannon like Trigger either.

She's probably not cute but I think she's powerful! I never controlled her in the game but I saw her and I want her!

How exactly is that wrong to like a character for its looks and not its gameplay? In a lot of games I play, the most powerful characters are usually the ugliest or most boring looking characters in the game. There one game I play where you can control all these cool creatures like giant golem tombstones, two-legged martial artist sea bunnies, and anthropomorphic lizards with bone elbow blades. And the strongest creature in the game is a ****ing cloud with eyes on it.

Well, you're nowhere near alone, a lot of people don't really care for Boomer. His playstyle is more than holding down the primary attack button to spam lasers though. Or dash away while holding down tertiary button.

No, they haven't. TFB slipped on a youtube video and apparently legal was good with it. IMO it's still speculation until it's official.
