One day while I was playing my PS3, I received a message from one of my PSN friends that said it was sent by George Washington. (yes, it actually said that, no joke.) Right off the bat, I knew it was spam, since the guy's been dead for over 200 years, and there's no way one could rise up from the dead and be able to get a PS3 and do so, but I read it out of curiosity. I'm not sure of the contents of the message because I probably deleted it shortly after I read it. If I somehow didn't delete the message, I'll copy the contents in an update to this topic, but if not, then we could just forget about the whole thing and move on. Moral of the story is this: If you receive a message from an historical figure that's been dead for quite a long time, (regardless of where you got it at) read it out of curiosity if you want, and then promptly delete it. Please be safe and don't be like a fool and fall for stupid scams.

P.s. Has anybody else seen a spam message like the one I described? I would like to know.

Only spam messages I get are from my PSN friends who are most around the age of 17 ish telling me they are Sony executives and that I can get a free Black ops map pack, and I get these pretty frequently

No, but I hate the PS3 and when I do play it I rarely play online.

anyway the moral of the story is, don't send messages that is obvious gonna be spam if you pass it on....

Yeah, I get messages similar to those, but probably not quite as frequently as you do.
