Lately it seems like I have been getting less and less gifts. I understand some people can't play everyday, etc., but when it gets to 7, 8, 9 or more days without reciprocating do you just keep them on your list or bump them off?

During the rush of everyone trying to max out their lists there were a lot of invites that I wasn't able to take, due to the limit cap on friends (which is ridiculous).

Anyway, I have a few friend spots open now, so if there are any players that do want to exchange gifts (again, just exchanging gifts. The visits/invitations are irrelevant), please feel free to add me to your list.

Even though I'm playing (and therefor gifting) several times a day I'm two gifts behind with some players. Strange isn't it?

I do the gifting but not invitations. My ipad 1 without retina display is a pain to navigate my own kingsom much less everybody elses. My sons new ipad isnt so bad. You can zoom out and see a bigger area.

I can't understand it. I gift every day & it's not much hassle. I have just gone through my friends list & deleted the ones who don't gift. Some of them haven't logged on for months, so I'm guessing they've grown bored of the game. But others I've seen logged on yesterday & they hadn't sent one gift where as I've sent about 90 to them. How can they not see the notification tab on the social icon or do they collect my gifts & not bother re- sending.??? Anyway feel free to add me if you like to share gifts everyday. I stop sending gifts when I get five ahead of the other player. But I haven't felt the need to delete any, because I haven't hit the friends limit yet. With 63 friends, that bar must be set fairly high. Any idea what it's capped at?

Anyway, even if they don't gift, look at it this way - you can still visit their kingdoms like a thief in the night and steal three gifts a day.

For the record, of those 63 friends a THIRD have maxed out at Level 35 where experience rewards from buildings, quests, gifts and party invitations are absolutely worthless. By the end of the month, I'm expecting that figure to be closer to half, and that's including the dozen or so players on less than level 20 who've not gifted for months and have obviously abandoned the game. Otherwise it'd almost be half already.

I have a few level 12-13 friends that abandoned the game. I like visiting them, though, since they've only unlocked a couple of islands and don't have a ton of buildings--it's really easy to find their invitations. On some of you level 35 guys with uber-cluttered islands, it's a real hunt!

I wonder when/if they will raise the level cap to 40? When they do, my troll prison and sheep shearing huts may get me a level or two by themselves.

Thanks for responding guys. I added you kb. I can understand what you're saying Woz, now I'm wondering whether I should've deleted them. The friend cap is 100. I was fairly close to the limit & I figured, if I could allow some room for more active friends, I'd be better off. It makes sense that if your at level 35, you mightn't feel the need to gift anymore, but wouldn't you still want to try to get gems? I get most of mine from gifting & visiting friends. The drop rate is about 10 - 1, I mean, about every 10th one is a gem. Sometimes you get two in a row,& sometimes it's about one every 8 for gifts. It's about one every 20 or so for invitations sent. Lately it seems the drop rate for gems has increased a little.

Midas is right about crowded islands. Mine are crowded too :-( it is so much easier to visit early island or empty ones

I'm level 35 too but I am working to maximize gold per day as I am missing 8 skylanders still. Then I want to churn out slab and acorn houses so that I can have all the builds but not need so many houses. Then again I used my houses/buildings to block off every spot on an island in order to force troll/sheep spawns onto just a few islands.

By then swap force will be upon us.

Added. Anybody else have this glitch? I keep getting notified of 7 friend requests, which I've accepted multiple time and they are in the game as friends, but they keep showing up in the list of friends in need to accept. I must accept all of them before any "new" friend requests appear. Weird.

I'm not sure about that glitch other than I can't accept requests when friends+requests=100.
