Ok, as the title says do you think they'll be a Female Swap Force Skylander? I'm actually not sure as I can see reasons for it and against it. But they all pretty much go with how if the Female swaps with any other swap force they'd get gender-swaped.


Against:

1) Obvious reason. So I won't get into it.

2) Really you kind of wonder if she'd go well with other swap force. After all a female base with a male top might look strange.


For:

Well really, I can see that since this game is for kids, if you think about it, most cartoons/kids' shows actually use gender-swaping as a comedy routine. Most series have atleast one episode on it.

So what do you think?

I think there will be no female swap-force toys - but I'm guessing that they'll make up for it with more than the normal number of female newlanders.

I think it's possible. Just don't make it's bottom look too feminine.

Probably not, think about it as like crossdressing, its okay, just parents dont want their kids to think that sometimes. Just imagine it having heels, and putting it on a manly figure, it just seems weird.

However, as I said, gender swaping has been used in kids shows as a comedy routine for years.

Bugs Bunny does it a lot, even in the old cartoons, to name one.
I'm still against female swaplanders.

FYI, transgenders are a thing. They exist.

There's a lot worse on TV, really.

But who am I to say what parents would be concerned about.

As Doomslicer said, Bugs Bunny crossdresses in the old Looney Tunes and even does it on occasion in the new series The Looney Tunes Show.

I don't see why there can't be a female Swaplander. Just as long as they don't make the bottom too girly. If they were to do something like Stealth Elf for the lower half, that'd be fine, but it might be weird if it was something like Hex where the entire bottom half is a dress. Of course they could make the lower half a dress if they wanted; I'd probably still buy the figure.

^ i have to agree (mostly because skylanders wouldnt exactly move very well with a dress, unless they float like hex) they should also give fire a female and i am pretty sure they would be too feisty to wear a dress anyway maybe give them a chain scythe or something

They could make a female Swapforce Skylander, but it would cause too much controversy. On the other hand, most people probably wouldn't pay attention to swapping a male and female skylander unless the character is human looking( ex: elf, golding, and the unknown species that Chill is).

Yeah I'm for it. What some of you are currently saying is the idea of a female top with a pair of squid tentacles or a robo unicycle for legspromotes the wrong idea to children? You're joking right?

Well as soon as they announce a female swap, it will be certain that they will be Boy-Girl Swappable, as 16x16=256, so yeah.

A female robot would be acceptable, otherwise, I doubt Activision'll dare.
Then again, what major videogame series hasn't had at least one controversy? But hopefully not, otherwise there might be an outcry.

I don't think it matters if it looks ugly or not, all the swaplanders look odd and different than each other. A female would not be too out of the mix

There's no serious reason for there not to be a female Swaplander. They're just toys. No serious/decent parent/adult is going to think it's odd. Kids would be disappointed if there wasn't (there's almost a female in every element and there was a female Giant). There's bound to be at least one. Activision's been pretty good about making Skylanders an inclusive series so far (at least with the games and figures; I have words, none of them kind, about the auxiliary marketing having no female characters). I'm sure they won't drop the ball this time.

Probably new female, but a new core character.

What about if the bottom half of the female swapforce character isn't particularly feminine.

For instance, Ninjinis plumb of smoke would have been ok had she been a swap force, or perhaps a mermaid tail for a water skylander. What about a centaur bottom half? Any of those could fit on a male or female character and not raise TOO MUCH concern with more conservative parents.

Of the 16 characters introduced in Giants (8 Giants, 8 Newlanders) there was 4 females and 1 was a Giant. Who says just because Roller Brawl is getting made there won't be any more female newlanders or any female swaplanders.
