We have enough Polar threads...but wanted to call this out specifically...

I was told this from an eBay seller in regards to Polar...does this mean she isn't coming to US? "You can contact with ACTIVISION. This figure is exclusive of MEDIAMART and this shop there arent in US, CANADA and AUSTRALIA."

Each region has their exclusives. Look at how amazon.de got scarlet while the swedish TRU got her. Also jade I heard for europe was mostly found at gamestop? Feel free to correct me there. Mediamart apparently is the exclusive holder for their region. While the stores here in the US there are walmart, target, kmart/sears, best buy. The list goes on. To say she wouldn't be in the US at this point is pretty negative when that's not going to be the case.

The point is for now the US is starting to fill all over with ninjini as far as big releases go. Scarlet might be what comes out next to make everyone go out and buy her and most likely by june we'll see polar. There has to be time to which I think on this side for everyone to buy out the remaining whirlwinds that are on shelves as those seem to come in more on each shipment I see. That and stump smash.

I am not fretting over it yet- its like Granite Crusher who was an exclusive to "Target" in the states- was a Exclusive to "Big W" in Aussie and some store in the UK (Can't remember the name)- So just because its exclusive to a certain chain overseas in one country doesn't mean it won't be an exclusive here in the US.

When it hits Summer and we don't see them then I'll start worrying.

In my humble opinion, if a "EBay Seller" states it's only going to be exclusive for whatever store in whatever country region etc, most likely that is a sell tactic to try to get people to believe that is their only buying option on getting whatever item it may be. Now that may be true in some cases for certain items. And the seller did say exclusive to media mart and there is not one in the U.S, Canada and Australia, but we do have quite a few other stores that offer exclusive in-game variants.

That's my position entirely. And this eBay seller propositioned me to bid on his stuff--it was an unsolicited message through eBay. Kinda ticked me off, actually.

How does one do that? They do a damn good job of separating themselves from consumers, from my perspective.

You contact each and every customer service outlet relevant. Especially twitter and facebook. If enough voices come together, they will do something about it (even if it's a disrespectful you're not getting any)

No, I worded that wrong but fb and twitter are useful tools in letting the company know what customers want. There is a history of fans getting their way pre-facebook/twitter days, imagine how fast it'd be now.

They should just make every figure available in every country and without having to buy a system or game with it.

^I agree....but if they are paying Activision big bucks and more than anyone else for the exclusive, I suspect those with bigger pocket books win.

How many times must ****ing Glow-blow Fright Rider come up as a false precedent for Polar Whirlwind never being stocked in US stores?

Polar Whirlwind is an IN-GAME variant character ... meaning the software is actually set-up for a different character when Polar stands on the portal. Glow-blow Fright Rider is not like that.
Limited production of the Glow-blow Fright Rider makes sense ... it honestly was probably a test market item, since it was released in a specific, small, but consumer-friendly region (the UK).
Polar Whirlwind, on the other hand, was part of the planned production for Giants from the outset (just like Jade Flashwing, Molten Hot Dog, Granite Crusher, and Scarlet Ninjini).

Polar Whirlwind will be released in the USA. It may be tomorrow. It may be in May. It may be in June or even July. But it will happen.

i live in the US but i looked at their website and the prices seem to have went down to normal but i am not even kidding guys i was shocked that best buy probably had the worst buy i had ever seen

And failing to see the difference between an in-game variant and a GitD recolor doesn't mean they're actually similar in the real world as opposed to just your mind, lawl. Two can play at that game.

There is SPECIFIC CODING IN THE ****ING GAME for polar.

I would be making a big deal if there was coding for a lime green fright rider.

So polar is a big deal, glow-job isn't.

I will be getting my polar via amazon Italy. Then I will buy LC pop fizz from the same source. I will then Wait for may 18/19 to camp outside target for an hour for scarlet.

I just don't understand why most of the "collectors" here are so adamant about Polar and Scarlett coming to the U.S., Isn't it possible that Europe is finally getting some love from Activision? Why can't they have some exclusives? True Collectors will get them easily enough online anyway.

It isn't arrogance. Americans want EVERYONE to get the in game variants, us included. We aren't asking to get it INSTEAD of others. No one has ever demanded on here that a figure remain exclusive to the US. Why is it there is always the assumption that because we would like something that we are being selfish and don't want others to have it? You do realize that one region getting something does not prevent another one from getting it as well?

I could, as an inverse, ask why you want/justify us to NOT get something you already have? You didn't see us justifying Europe getting the shaft previously. Is that not arrogance?

Yup. Releasing anything in Europe only is just depriving the company of profits. It's silly to think they would ever do it. That line of thinking only ever emerged in the first place as a paranoid response to the figures showing up first in a European market. Just like when people went crazy thinking Canada was getting exclusive Legendaries. It's just not realistic, I'm sorry.

We americans think we should get them because Activision is an american company. We hope that everyone gets everything but it doesn't always work that way. American didn't get a single pack dark spyro (yes we got the one in the 3ds pack),but we didnt get the single. America also didn't get Glow in the dark fright rider. Now we did get royal double trouble and I believe Europe hasn't. There are probably some others that happened in SSA. In the end most of us feel if its an actual in-game variant that the developers spent time adding in, that every market will get it. Glow in the dark Fright Rider is just a special variant, so only some places may get him. In the case of Scarlet, polar and even royal double I think each market will see them one way or another. Heck, maybe the rest of the world is getting Scarlet and Polar before the US because when the US gets thm you all will get royal double as a surprise.
The above is just speculation, that is all.
