Most likely some bottom parts will light up.

I find it more likely that the bottom half might use fiber optics for light effects, not the technology used with LightCores/Giants.

I have a theory:

There are 16 new Swap Force characters and 8 Regular new characters. But for the 8 light-cores and the 16 re-poses, I believe:

The 8 Lightcores are: Hot Dog, Fright Rider, Flashwing, Sprocket, Zook, Double Trouble, Zap, and Whirlwind (Because Giants had 4 SG Light-cores and 4 SSA Light-cores)

The 16 Series 3 Characters are Stealth Elf, Camo, Gill Grunt, Wham-Shell, Eruptor, Sunburn, Lightning Rod, Warnado, Prism Break, Dino Rang, Trigger Happy, Boomer, Spyro, Voodood, Cynder, and Ghost Roaster (Because either the characters are the most marketed out of each element, they have been revealed, or they didn't get a Series 2 repose.)

that seems reasonable, but i dont see zook becoming a lightcore skylander...

Which means that it's possible that my theory of the new outfit being a new part of the "series 3" could be right. So we could be looking at the 16 new Skylanders will get some kind of redesign/outfit.

Hmm... well, in SG, they used half-in-half. So possible. But "new" Lightcores, we could possibly be seeing LC-exclusive characters here!

it states they want to honor the history of Spyro, and that he'll always be a major character (I think he's a prime contender for a S3). They also are discussing new elements (light, dark, time, space, etc. but it sounds like they probably don't want to for a while). I am somewhat disheartened (wonder how many people have used that word on this forum?) that they say that they don't want to make it too hard/complicated for kids. I've played some very hard and complex games "for kids." They also state they're open to the new, upcoming platforms/consoles.

I don't think adding 2 new elements will make it harder for kids to play, pokemon itself has 16 different types of pokemon and it still a kids-adults game

Entropy sorta mixes time, fire, and ice.
It can create heat, spawning fire, it can decrease heat, causing ice, and being a measure of chaos, it can speed up aging. also, Entropy's responsible for friction, so that also makes an even deadlier opponent.
Anyway, new elements would be awesome, but based on the number of announced characters, we won't be seeing it in SF.

Wash buckler's symbol could be grinding (though probabbly not) The reason I said this is the night shift and the legs of a unrevealed character in the trailer, grinding on train tracks

Lol, if Pokemon had thought of Skylanders first, they'd be Nintendo's new biggest hit. I haven't played it in awhile, but have started using the Pixelmon mod on Minecraft.
But yeah, new elements would be sweet. I personally want avatars, human portal master figures that are customizable, and represent you, the portal master, in game, with there either being one for each element, or 4/6/whatever in a single new, portal/human element.

I agree but I think they really meant it would be harder for them, as they would have make even more new characters for those new elements to catch up with the others.

Actually, more elements? It's bad enough with the new movement gates meaning getting all 8 elements is not worth as much, need to collect more elements would just get annoying.

A rogue element (sort of an assortment of elementless characters?), or characters without elements with unique pedestals would be preferable.

The sheer amount of new Skylanders coming with this game (even not including reposes) is daunting for me, lol. I only just completed series 1 and next is Giants. I know I'm behind but I hope some of them don't vanish off the face of the planet before I get hold of them all! (Wham Shell, Boomer and DLC were a nightmare to get hold of).

I'm wondering if I should even bother. I mean, I just got one of every element, so I can do all gates, now a whole kind of gate? Oh boy... (i probably will get the game, but maybe a while after it's been released, so I don't have to spend $100 to access all gates and can get a clearance sale).

Or should I put all my current purchases on hold for SF?

hey, i found something strange (might be new skylander for SWAP Force). when i was looking for a minecraft skin, i wanted a skylander skin so i looked it up and on the results page, it showed a volcano man named blow heat. it was a fire air hybrid and his name sounds like a possible name for top and bottom halves. what could be bottom half of "blow" and top half of "heat"? here is the link:http://www.minecraftskins.com/search/skin/skylander/1/

Bash does have Armor that he gets when upgraded. But even just giving the characters an outfit would be considered a "new" outfit. So yeah most clothless skylanders got some kind of armor. Spyro didn't but he did wear armor in LoS DotD. But they said "Cool new Design" this doesn't have to be an outfit. it could include a redesign of the character. (Like original Spyro to LoS Spyro to Skylanders spyro) But I'm thinking it'll be more or a new outfit/armor.


As for new types, there was a point made that they'd have to make new skylanders of that type so they all have an even amount. Well they could allways, make a type out of allready exsisting element. Like Lighting, and Ice and they could make like "New breed" as I called them where you have a skylander that can be found as more than one type. Like take spyro. normal Spyro is magic. But you could have a new breed spyro as Earth, Electic, Fire, Ice, and water(his bubble breath) Now I'm saying that you'll find a Fire Spyro, an Earth Spyro, an Ice spyro and so on. Not one skylander having multiple types. (Be hard with the attacks he could use.)
