Wow, kinda mind-boggling to hear a kid with undevelopped speech capacity, who says things like "FOR FWEE!", comment on quality - that they could have spent more time on Gill Grunt - but it absolutely amazes me that I agree with him, LMAO!

So what's in a Happy Meal? Never had one, maybe I can learn to like 'em... And start eating McDonald's again, LOL! I rarely do anymore (not a decision, just that it's been working out that way). Growing up, family never took to going to McDonald's, ever, so my first visit was at 17, when I was old enough to order the real food.

Somehow I REALLY want Kaos... Never gonna happen, but I have this vision of getting an extra Ghost Roaster (the main reason this isn't happening), detaching Ghost Roaster from his base and attaching Kaos. BAM, custom playable figure of Kaos. I want it to be Ghost Roaster because his bare skull looks a bunch like Kaos' white shiny bald head. Also their black outfits seem similar.

Oh, and it sounds like that Amazon listing is for a re-seller. Which means no, they won't take the coupon. A re-seller is some average person like you or me. Would YOU honour that coupon, if you were selling a Starter Pack? Stores get it back from Activision, or share the loss, we wouldn't. Amazon THEMSELVES may accept it.

It'll get there, eventually. As for Asia, they'll dump all the extras in 1-6 months time. Maybe less; the Croods happy meals just came out here (in one McDonalds, not in another one).

Went to McDonalds last night manager told me the 19th is the release. However he asked me what I wanted I got 11 of them 9 for my collection and 1 for both of my kids (there favs)

Someone is still buying them from McDonalds so you're still in effect buying from McDonalds..just farther down the line.

To be honest, buying them in an actual kids meal would be probably cost them more money than just buying it. In the least you could drop the food off to someone who's homeless or whatever.

And let's get real. McDonalds isn't going anywhere so boycotting is just a waste of time.

Here is the dilemma, whether or not people buy them from McDees does not really matter. Someone already paid for them, whether they are an employee, associate, or customer. McDees already has been fed, now by paying twice or three times the price for them to a seller other than McDees, will feed the scalpers, who go back and feed McDees by purchasing more. Indirectly feeding McDees is what i gather from this. I could be mistaken on this theory, if they were given for free, stolen, or fell out of the sky into the sellers lap. Also by posting anything in relation to McDonalds is feeding them as well as promoting them IMHO. To truly boycott something is to completely withdraw oneself from it and anything that has to do with.

I was originally only going to get them if they were skylanders. then i was only going to get kaos. now i want them all.

McDonald here in NY want $2-$3 A toy. Hamburger meal comes to 4.01 after tax. So far got tree rex, drobot and spyro. There are some mcdonalds around here that do 1.99 meal nights, going work on the rest of the collection then and save some

Actually they are $1.90 there.

We just picked up 2x Spyro, 1 Gill Grunt and 1 Tree Rex here (in canada) and we'll get the rest as they become available (with a double of each). Fortunately with 2 little boys we can just buy them a happy meal as a treat and get them. They cost $2.03 or something after tax to just buy the toy.

We actually had to do some searching to find spyro because he wasn't available at several of our Mc Donalds locations. Not really sure why as he is #2 in the series. Also here in canada no coupon for $10 off a Starter pack included.

i got tree rex spyro and gill grunt for 91 cents now for the rest of them wish me luck

McDonald's had then back when the movie was in theaters. They may have been outta croods and trying to get rid of old toys before the next promotion. But apparently someone there wasn't on the same page.

I got Tree Rex, Spyro, Gill Grunt and Crusher. I checked like 5 McDonalds and most only have packets 1,2 and 3, which is Tree Rex, Gill Grunt, Crush.

^same here, I was lucky enough to get the complete set of eBay for less than retail here the day they came out, I have a feeling a lot people may put on some pounds cause of these toys. I went there this morning to check if they put out any new figures, needless to say they did not, but I could not resist the egg mcmuffin with the hash brown, it was good. MUST RESIST fat food places

You don't have to buy food to get a toy.

I know, they sell them them here for $1.90 after tax, but it was the morning hunger and temptation that got to me.

I was able to get all 9 this morning, $2 each, they brought out a huge box and probably had 2 or 3 of each. My son was very happy when I came back!

why are they all the wrong colours and why are the giants so small?

Checked my local one, they had Tree Rex (#1) and Spyro (#2). They were actually a lot bigger than I was expecting. Tree Rex is bigger than the actual one!





Took some comparison shots between the figures and the actual Skylanders...plus an older Spyro toy for good measure. Spyro is just a bit topheavy with this projectile...they probably could have balanced him out more if they made him more upwards.

Mine were selling them for $1.50 each.

With Tree Rex at least, he's actually bigger than the actual figure. They're not the wrong colors- Happy Meal toys don't usually contain a lot of painting, so they simplify color schemes for the most part. Usually this seems to be done on some higher level than whatever the factories are doing though, as the Pokemon toys were all accurately painted. So maybe Activision just didn't shell out of more than what was really necessary.

As I said before, each store should have a case called the "customer satisfaction" case that has entire sets of the figures. If you ask for a manager they are usually willing to get you whatever toys you want out of this case. Even at my previous store if we were swamped (peak hours) we would just lie and go "these two are the only ones we have!" so we didn't have to go to the back and dig out the others.

Go to the store when it is a little slower (mystery shop/peak times are 7-9am, 12-2pm, 5-7pm, they probably wont help you during these times) and ask for a manager. You should be able to get the full set for about $15-20.

I had to drop off our puppy (Shnauzers need haircuts) at the groomers, which is right by McDonalds during lunch just now, was able to get the remaining six I needed to complete the set, came out to about $11. Total for all figures was a little under $17 got an extra box as well, the manager was really cool.

My set arrived today!

I just picked up all 9 plus the spyro that was in my son's happy meal. At first they said they didn't have the customer satisfaction packs but then the manager looked up and recognized me (she is a friend of a friend) and said she would check.

Cheaper? No. Rarer? Yes.

These things are only made for a limited time and some McDonald's toys can fetch big monies when sold to the right collector.

I guess you didn't read the listing. The $9,999.99 is just a place holder. The 2 sets that were sold were purchased for less than $30 each. So in the end the seller lost money since he really only got less than $1 per beanie baby.
