Hardest to Find Skylanders To Date (SSA and SG) [CLOSED]

Helping a friend fire up their brand new Skylanders collection, and was wondering if I could get some help with figuring out which Skylanders are hardest to find at the moment in the US and Canada. Your help is much appreciated.

The hardest "normal" (in other words, not the "chase" variants) Skylanders to locate in retail stores are: Boomer, Ghost Roaster/Darklight Crypt, Slam Bam (series 2), Dino-Rang, Wham-Shell, Ninjini, Granite Crusher, Polar Whirlwind, Scarlet Ninjini, and Bash (series 2). All of these currently cost between $20 and $80 on the secondary market.

I started giants late and its nearly impossible to find bash and flameslinger for under 20.
Theyre the last 2 nonvariants I need too

I was just coming back to say I just ordered bash and flameslinger from amazon for 10@
Now im just missing
Scarlet, Polar, Gnarly, Granite, 3 sidekicks, and the skylanders that havnt been released yet.
Good timing, i just updated the skylister app. It added amazon link to buy on each character and I was testing it out. They just happened to pop up for retail price for once.

I got s2 bash and slam bam from my local walmart which usually has nothing....i didnt know they where hard to find.....also they ALWAYS HAVE FLAMSLINGER (but bash and slambam are harder to get though but tey pop up once in a while)

As it stands right now, the characters that did not get remodels are the "rarest". As for Giants series figures, it's mostly just new ones (Ninjini, S2 Spyro and S2 Wrecking Ball) that you won't find very commonly.

Outside of that, I haven't seen Fright Rider or S2 Slam Bam recently, although some of the ones that aren't really common right now will be getting parts in Triple Packs for the most part.

Wam-shell is rare where I am, although apparently he's all over the States.

If you don't have anything against 3 packs, Camo and Warnado (two of the not reposed) are really easy to find. Wham Shell is also not too bad in the TRU Case + Figure package if it is still around. Sunburn is also fairly easy to find. Voodood is also fairly common in both 3 pack and single pack.

Boomer and Ghost Roaster are tough, but Boomer does show up in a 3 pack much more often than as a single. Dino Rang is very uncommon, but is findable in the 3 pack.

Overall, if you are trying to catch up from the first game, going with 3 packs is much more effective than searching for singles. You also want to try a lot of the unusual stores, like Walgreens and CVS to find them - the mainstream stores are long gone on the rare ones.

Right now the hardest for me to find is Granite Crusher at a decent price. Ive called every shipping day at target, and they never get more than 1 at a time, and always sold by the time I get outta work.

I havnt been able to bring myself to pay much more than retail for a figure that will be pulled from the card. Ive seen a few loose for decent prices but always without the card. And I must have the cards lol

^So, Target actually gets stock on this item? I'm shocked on that alone...I thought they no longer got any stock after the holidays. There are some eBay auction for cards, but yeah it's a pain. I'm actually shocked that used skylander prices TO ME seem STRONGER than their boxed comrades. In most cases--you get retail OR MORE for used skylanders. Obviously for the htf stuff but also for the more mundane, over produced figures.

Toysrus.com still had some last time I checked, they're trying to clear out SSA so it was on sale I think, may still be.

In Memphis TN, it's basically the wave 5 Skylanders, except for Molten Hot Dog and Jade Flashwing. That week Spyro, Wrecking Ball and Ninjini came out, they were gone and haven't been restocked since.

Same here. They had tons of each of those three, and as soon as they sold out, they were never restocked.

They have been. Taget.com just changed his listing to unavailable in stores, so that might be done now.
My OCD can not let it go though lol. Im hoping I at least dont spend more than 40 on him

Hot Dog single pack for rarest Newlander.

i found flameslinger for 8$ on amazon and bash for 10$ on amazon with free shipping on purchases above 25$. you just gotta be patient and check, check sometimes in the middle of the night and you might get lucky, i have a son that wakes up in the middle of the night ):
