... you got THIS excited about receiving a Skylander!? It was only 2 weeks ago for me... finding a 2011 E3 Spyro! Pure joy and excitement... that's what I'm talkin about.

My heart will flutter when I see one I need, but that's about it. Totally understand your perspective though...those are needles in haystacks. Wham Shell--yeah he's a pain to find, but not ultimate destruction spell of ultimate dooooommmmmm rare.

I just thought the kid's joyful reaction was just what the person recording was hoping for. I remember when I got as excited about He-Man and Transformers. It's good to be reminded of these things...

Lol, my son always thinks that when we get boxes delivered in the mail, they are skylanders! They mostly are, but when they are not he is disappointed!

He got pretty excited when we got the new spyro. I usually hide them around the house when I get them and he will find them throughout the day!

Nice. My kids quickly moved on from the excitement of Skylanders, so its nice to read about children like yours who are still genuinely excited.

Good idea to hide them around the house. Have you ever forgot a hiding spot that your son didn't manage to find? This happened once when I was a kid, my dad hid my favorite laser gun and then forgot where he hid it! Never did find it either. Sadness! smilie

But I bet you had the calm cool exterior... smilie I will admit, if I ever see a chase variant in the store I will soil myself. Problem is, I bet everyone gets theirs by being there when the employee opens it up. I would REALLY like to hear stories of chase variants actually making it to a shelf.

I got excited when I found a Wham Shell during the holidays and I got really excited when I got Ninjini at Toys r Us the first day. Now I have nothing to collect, as I NEVER have seen a variant.

Stone Zook is the only variant I've found on a peg, and for some reason I was nervous that it was going to be taken away from me. About a minute later, an employee let me take home the starter pack display shelving. It was an exciting day! (About a week into November)

Back when the triple pack with Series 2 Zook had just come out, I already had every available Skylander at the time but like usual I check the stock at whatever store I am in (Walmart) and there was a Stone Zook just sitting there off the peg and on the shelf! So someone had came by and picked it up and noticed it was different but did not buy it and just put it down! My heart did jump when I picked it up and I looked around like to make sure it was okay for me to hold it! And then...I sold it.

When I got Thumpback and Eyebrawl before they flooded stores. It was on a really bad day of school and I rode my bike to one of my local Gamestops. I saw the racks had Hot Head and Crusher, the other two in the Eyebrawl and Thumpback shipment. So I asked they guys at the counter if they got them in, they tried to get me to buy Hot Head but I told them I had him already. Just when I was about to leave, they pulled Thumpback and Eyebrawl out of one of the drawers behind the counter. I shamefully admit an over exaggerated gasp left my mouth. It truly made my day however I think I also stopped them from scalping as well smilie

LOL, when I found a Rock Whirlwind, I ran to my mother, and faceplanted right in front of an employee. The figure was okay, though..

i passed my math midterm and my mom drove 8.92 miles to a walmart while i was in school to get me gitd smilie. i was happy but i wasn't screaming like that.
