How does getting a replacement from Activision work? [CLOSED]

One of my Skylanders stopped working so I filled out the claim and they ask that I return it, but where do I send it to and do I pay the shipping to send it to them? Do they send me a shipping label?

I filed a claim a month ago but they didn't ask me to return the broken fig, they just sent me a replacement.

That's the way it worked for me as well for my defective replacement.

I bought an extra Stealth Elf for my friend, and decided to test her.

Didn't work.

I contacted them about it, but they never sent a replacement.

I decided to return her and got an extra.

depends on the figure, what figure did you need replaced? ALso shawn what about you? I had stump smash s1 and chill and didn't need to send them in. Mostly the variants require you send them in (ie legendaries, punch, dark) I don't know about giants or lightcore. Call activision and ask about the shipping.

I have experienced this before. I called when my Series 1 Stealth Elf stopped working and they said they could send me a new one once I showed a reciept for proof that I bought the figure. Once you did that you will get one in the mail.

They probably won't replace rares. (I.E: Silvers, Clears, Glitters, Flocked)

If it is not a rare Skylander you can probably find it in the store, this is what I have done:

1) I had a Crusher that did not light up on his shoulders, I had him for about 2 weeks and did not realize they were suppose to light up until I put my Granite Crusher on the portal at the same time. I then went to the store and bought another Crusher and returned the broken one in the package from the new one and got my refund (Showed receipt). I explained to the employee that the lights did not work.

2) I had the Silver Cannon that would only work in a particular area of the portal (If it was not in that area it would not recognize it). I had no problem with that but eventually the blue light from the cannon stopped working. I did the same as above.

I am sorry if this offends anyone but I personally dont see the difference of doing this or dealing with activision, other than getting the resolution fixed quicker.
I do explain to the Return Department that it is broken so that it does not get put back on the shelf.

Going to the store? I agree. If they have more than one you will be able to choose the one that has the best paint job.

Daughter broke the arm off her series one Hex, they sent another without the broken being returned. Took only two days and FedEX was at my door!!

Mine was a lightcore ShroomBoom who, when he entered the game, wasn't being announced as a lightcore nor did he have the explosion either. They just sent me a new one and I received it in 6 days.

I don't see why getting the replacement at the store would offend anyone--in fact many stores have return policies for defects, and even more privileges if you have more prestige with them (ie spend a lot of money). I think personally stores should be used first (depending on how long you've had him), and then Activision second. Activision will get hit either way. I do believe there's a time limit for replacement at Activision as well.

If you are dealing with humans that's your problem. Did you do the online form? It was easy peasy.

Arm? I also saw a Fright Rider that was broken inside the box. I heard that was pretty common too.

I have replaced my hot head, chill, and catapult without having to return them, nowadays I have problems, I need a new thumpback and a 360 version of SSA, but they want me to send thumpy in, oh well! You're not throwing out my thumpy! I've player with him for almost 10 hours and heroic challenged him!

I've returned like 5 or 6, and never had to return a single one. we got a batch when wave 3 came out that just didn't wanna work.

Because of the way I did it.
I did not have the original receipt so I bought a new one and used that receipt when I returned the broken one.

Getting your hands on something without paying is STEALING unless it was given to you or you earned it. Others who have payed their honest hard earned money for these will be forever thanking you when their figure can not be replaced, because you decided to commit such immoralities.

I am not sure on whether or not you need a receipt of proof or something in regards to evidence that you actually own the figure when doing a claim, but it would make sense to have such.

I was referring to the statement above of one who wants a link to commit an act of fraud by doing a "fake one".

What rare figure broke? Did you break it or does it not work on the Portal?
Your best bet is to fill out a claim through Activision.
I don't believe this has been successful for a true variant (i.e. Flocked, Glitter, Gold, etc...)
As for "In Game variants" or hard to find (i.e. Boomer, Wham-Shell) figures, you may have better luck.
If the figure is actually broken (i.e. arm, head, etc...) and it is one that Activision will not replace, super glue works wonders.

If it is a hard to find figure and you happen to find it in the store, read post #8.

I have done a gnarly tree rex thru them, but call them after you submit the ticket and explain it to them. They will send u labels to mail him in and then they return you a new one once they get it. I dont however know if this will work on flocked, glitter etc as they maybe only a limited run and all that were made are out their (in other words they cant replace it cause itm doesnt exist). I would however still try and see what they say. With something of value i' do signature confirmation etc.
