Even though I dont have S2 Whirlwind I still want Polar Whirlwind since she was my first Skylander befor the Starter pack.

I am actually very excited for the variants to come out. I think they all look cool from what I see.

same, hope they are common but not is a system bundle like gnarly (had to go on ebay for him but he was worth it) Gnarly is my fav skylander.

It's definitely less of a hassle if they're not in a bundle... I got the Green Gilly at a used game store (as the 360 starter pack for $20) and sold the game and stuff (kept Spyro to custom paint tho), and I actually made money off of it which was way unexpected!! Same thing with the Wii bundle, I sold the Wii for $95 then sold the Whammy castle case, game and other figures, so i ended up getting Gnarly for free too!! So the bundles are nice cause they actually turn out to be really cheap, but it's more of a hassle to sell stuff too... single packs all the way!! haha

Also, It is a lot easier for me to come up with 10-15 dollars than 150 all at once and then wait for it to come back.

Soo...are we sure this is a store exclusive and not part of a possible bundle? The PS4 is coming out if not already out right? Of course, they had Gnarly in bundles for overseas and the US, but you just never know. Could they be planning to use her as a good draw for the last Giants wave?

I'm kinda irritated with Acti for the way they're doing this. 1. We have all these figures with the same number for searches 2. Either no info or last-second info on releases. These two things have made it easier not harder for scalpers. I wonder if complaining would even make them change this. If it could, I'd ask them to: 1. Make the numbers unique for each fig, and 2. Give clear release dates even if it's only a week or two before they come out. Having a unique number would mean holding all the people down the retail line accountable if they horde or steal new product, and would give customers faith in both the stores and the distributor. Scalpers couldn't pull as much shenanigans cuz their card info would be easily available and if they're not following a "2 per person" rule for new items they'd know. They also couldn't try the ebay bs with "preorders" with misleading dates, ect. Having clear dates would bring out more enthusiastic parents willing to buy more product. It also would help all the stores who are investing money in good faith in a product line actually selling. We all know too well that stores have bought stock and not been able to bring it to their storefronts till the previous stock sold out. I don't think this can continue to be the norm, as stores lose out a great deal in this current business model and parents and collectors are turned away too. Now if this could be made clear to Acti, maybe they'll change their ways for the better, and hopefully we'll have an easier time getting the figures we want, such as Polar Whirlwind.

Can everyone please just relax! At the end of the day, they're figurines with a chip in them. I have no doubt in my mind that Scarlet and Polar will be out in the US before the Giants era is over.

Exactly, we're in march when there still is atleast one more wave for what summertime? I think more need to relax some and not panic because overseas got them first. I'm just glad they exist because it means they do and weren't just speculation from the website game. They're something to look forward to.

Polar Whirlwind is out across the EU. I got mine yesterday.

My friend in the Netherlands sent me my 4 Polar Whirlwinds yesterday. Since he was nice enough to help me at cost, I am sending him a GITD Sonic Boom, which they never got there.

I can call my Ingame Variants complete now, seeing as both Polar and Scarlet are on their way.

I still don't think both or one of those will make it to the US.

I'm expecting to get mine today. I traded with someone in the Netherlands and sent him a Legendary Lightcore Chill. It was supposed to be delivered yesterday but for some reason the postman didn't leave it and left the delivery slip instead so I have to go to the post office and pick it up.

Got my Scarlet yesterday so once I get this all I need are Drobot and the three Lightcores that are left.

I could be wrong, but I'd say you're being paranoid.

Activision would be nuts to leave tons of money "on the table" by not releasing Polar Whirlwind (or any other anticipated in-game variant) in its biggest market: the USA.

I suppose stranger things have happened, but I think it's a little bit irresponsible of you to intimate in these forums that you "don't think" Polar Whirlwind will ever be released in the USA. It's pretty obvious that, in general, you have a lot of "street cred" in these forums, but when you prognosticate like this, without any substantial proof (unless I'm missing something or you're keeping something secret?) it's hard to understand why forum users put so much stock in what you post.

Yes, she will be here, I know it's hard to be patient (I'm really antsy too, lol)!! She is an in-game variant so there is no reason they would not release her in the US... remember this is Activision, they know Americans will throw a bunch of money at them for her, so there is no way they would consider not releasing her here...

As Americans, we're so used to being among the first to get the waves that it's hard for us to watch others get them first, some people have even seemed to panic over it! lol It's an American game, from an American company, there is no way they would not release the in-game figures in the States. These situations really show how impatient us Americans are as a whole...!! lol I'm guessing we'll see her over here before the Sidekicks arrive... most likely in the last part of wave 4 that's left!!

So, the question is, what are they waiting for? They're not waiting to release Jade and Molten overseas, along with Polar and Scarlet, so why not do the same here, and release all 4 close together? If Activision loves money, why not release them now, and still have wave 5 to make them more money to boot in about a month or so?

Also, if they love money so much, why are we still void of LC Pop Fizz and Chill?

Because they know people will wait, and they know that anticipation will build if they make people wait. Because they know people, especially collectors, are an anxious species, in general, and that even though we WILL wait, we get antsy when we're forced to wait.

C'mon, man. This stuff is basic sales and marketing psychology.
If it makes you feel better to believe that Polar Whirlwind won't be released in the USA, then enjoy that false euphoria while it lasts.

There's a perfectly good reason, GM: The remaining exclusives are coming from Walmart and/or Target and TRU, of course! They locked up enough exclusives to keep pumping them out through summer, and don't want to step on their own toes by releasing them now. They still have Molten, Jade, and LLC Chill to market, so why launch a second exclusive simultaneously and deprive themselves of more returning customers in a month or two? Really, there are plenty of reasons, but stop me if this one doesn't seem plausible. Personally, I find nothing far-fetched about it at all.

EDIT: Heck, there's as much evidence for Scarjini at TRU as there is at Amazon at this point. Both retailers have already started selling her overseas. Moreover, these are both American companies selling the toy in a secondary market. Do you REALLY think that there's even a remote chance they would neglect to bring the toy here? I bet both of them are chomping at the bit to get these exclusives. And Activision is going to deny that because...? Yeah, I can't even think of a hypothetical where they would. They won't.

As for LC Pop Fizz and Chill, those are going to have to wait until people buy the current LC assortment. Activision loves money, but they can't send things to people who haven't ordered them, nor can they substitute LightCores for single pack or Giant orders that companies have placed. The reason we haven't seen them is simply that the previous assortment has sold below expectation while single and Giant sales have been steady-to-hot. That's why Wave 4 singles and Giants couldn't get to stores fast enough--shelves were empty!--and yet Wave 4 LightCores are still an indeterminate amount of time away.

Well, I already have Polar, with Scarlet on the way, so it's not me who really needs to worry. I just dont' think they will come, just like Royal hasn't come out overseas.

I only hope they come for the sake of those who don't have hookups overseas, or the money to import. I mean, if they come out here, I will just need one more of each to replace the Euro packaging that cuts off half of the art up top. However, if they don't, I got these so I'm good to go.

I have Scarlet Ninjini thanks to Amazon.de, but needless to say, we'll be waiting on the US release to put one on the wall. What we got is our play copy.

As for Polar, well, I'm 100% confident that we'll see her before summer, and that's fine with me. If I happen to find a good trade for one, I'm sure I would relent, but there's no reason to pay over retail for something I'll be able to walk right into the store and buy in a month or two.
