Normal, exept I like Jade Flashwing more.

Glitter Hot Head is MUCH cooler than normal Hot Head. Same goes for Employee LightCore Prism Break.

Generally, I like the in-game variants better. I'm not a fan of the monochromes or chase variants, with the possible exception of the Toy Fair Cynder and Chop Chop, and definitely Employee Prism Break. G1 Flocked Stump Smash was a nice variant too.

I know, I'm just going by the ones I want/have.

I think all the named variants look better, especially polar whirlwind with the crazy eyes

I have replaced Flashwing with Jade Flashwing in the rotation of Skylanders I play with. I think Jade Flashwing just fits in better, aesthetically, with the other earth characters.

Depends. I usually like both.
I like my legendary Chill more then my normal one. She looks robotic and I like it. :>

Usually I do prefer variants. Granite Crusher and Jade Flashwing are the best examples. Molten might be the rare exception where, if I could only choose one, I'd opt for the original.

Hot Dog>Molten
Tree Rex>Gnarly
Granite>Crusher
Jade>Flashwing (mostly because the jade color fits with the other earth characters better, individually, it's a wash)
Ninjini>Scarlet (the red just doesn't work for me with the blue skin)
Polar>Whirlwind (but only just barely, because I appreciate the "northern-ness" of it)
Pop Fizz=Punch (he's a round fuzzy ball, really any color would work and be about the same as any other)

can't comment on Royal DT as I haven't seen him up close

Granite = Crusher - I'm on the fence with this one... I like him better in game but not for the figure... my fav color is Green so I like the two tones of regular Crusher better with the Green and Blue gems/eyes
Royal > Double Trouble - I feel the purple goes with his overall color scheme better than the teal
Scarlet > Ninjini - I like the figure for Scarlet Ninjini better than the regular one because of the color schemes, I just really don't like the red hair on the standard Ninjini, I'm even thinking of repainting the hair! lol Even on Scarlet, the color palette just seems a bit off. The skin tone should be a little more green I think.

Molten = Hot Dog - This is the other one I'm really pretty neutral about... in game, I like the look of Molten Hot Dog better, but i like the figure for regular Hot Dog more... the yellow plastic on Molten looks kinda bright and cheap with a McDonald's kinda feel!! lol


As for the chase variants, I don't really play with them since they're the same in game as the standard version of them I already have, so they're more of just a fun collector's thing... the Glitters and Rock variants are my FAV (and sealed, lol)!! I would love to get an Employee Prism break or even a Snow flocked Prism Break but won't pay ridic prices, so I might never have his chase... lol

I find I prefer Scarlet Ninjini's red outfit better, but Ninjini's complexion and hair colour better. Oh well. In a few days I'll have both anyway. My favourite colour is red, so big shocker there, right? LOL!

The only variants I plan to own are Jade Flashy and Polar Whirly, and I'm starting not to like her figure.

Legendaries: Hate em all
Scarlet Ninjini: I like purple better than red, so... *shrug*
Molten Hot Dog: Don't like it at all. Looks too cheesy and mustardy
Granite Crusher: Like it better than the original
Jade Flashwing: Boss. The best one
Polar Whirlwind: Look great in-game, no so much irl
Punch Pop Fizz: Like better than original. My second favorite, but isn't worth buying the 3DS version for :/
Royal Double Trouble: Like it better than the original

I don't even bother with the golds, silvers, pearls, etc.

I like purple too much to give Jade Flashwing or Scarlet Ninjini an edge over the regular, but they do look really good I have to be honest. I don't think the legendaries make them look better, I just think it takes away from the uniqueness of the original character, and makes them just all the same being gold and blue.

jade flashwing is beautiful, molten hotdog looks better in yellow, anything translucent (WERDs, Blue bash), glow in the dark (cynder, sonic boom) is awesome. the legendaries look ugly, but I have have them just because.
