^Agreed. Either buy the 3DS starter pack or go on Evilbay. I don't see Dark Spyro or Punch Pop Fizz ever being released as singles here in the USA.

From what I understand, Dark Spyro will NEVER see a NA release. Just get the DS starter set (I saw them at Best Buy for forty bucks).

EvilBay is such a stupid nick name, a lot of fair deals can be had on ebay I got my entire Series 1 collection on ebay in box for half of what its worth.

Yeah, I hate the name "evilbay". It reminds me of folks who use "M$" for Microsoft. It stopped being original about twenty years ago and was never really that clever to begin with. Never mind the fact that eBay has been an invaluable source for me buying stuff I don't need at great prices.

Just because some folks "abuse" eBay (by... umm.. selling stuff or something), doesn't make eBay evil. There are "scalpers" who use Dark Spyro as a source for information that they use for getting figures to "scalp". Does that mean Dark Spyro is evil?

Ok I do have to confess to being a hardcore Ebayholic myself. I constantly find great deals on there for everything EXCEPT Skylanders. It is only in reference to scalper prices for these figures that I use the nickname "evilbay". otherwise Ebay has been very good to me, even allowing me to find WAY too many vinyl wall decals of different sea life in all shapes and colors to give my daughter an under the ocean themed nursery.

I agree with both DutRank and triggernut, if they're not out yet in single packs (which they are not in the US), they will not be getting released as such. If anyone does buy a starter pack just for the figures (cuz of Dark Spyro), send me a PM because I'm looking for just the SSA 3DS game and portal for a decent price!!

Ok, Dark Spyro was actually going to get a Target exclusive single pack, but it got recalled for unknown reasons.

^ I remember that!! That was back when SSA was having waves of figures released, I wonder what ever happened to all those Dark Spyros that were produced with USA peg holes...... are they sitting in a warehouse somewhere or what?? lol

I couldn't agree more. That vast majority of the stuff I buy on eBay is a great deal, much cheaper than brand new. And the stuff that is more expensive is impossible to find anywhere else so it definitely services a valuable service.

That is very interesting. If it was recalled at some point, I highly doubt it would be released at a later date.

I wish they would do a single ( bought the starter pack to get the figure and it did'nt come with a card ) tryed to take it back but toys r us had a no return on open electronics policy... so I was stuck wit a figure a sticker no card ( this is one of the worst things for someone with OCD that has to have all or none...

You might be able to find a card for D. Spyro on ebay- there is always someone selling just the cards because they either dont want them or in my case sold all my series 1 guys to buy series 2, and Game only wanted the figures

I bought Skylanders figures and a bundle, sold them on eBay, and after deducting shipping and fees, the only thing I lost was time. I made money on the transactions, so the 5 figures were essentially free.

Ebay is only evil if you think capitalism (i.e. people freely exchanging money for goods or services) is evil

I've noticed that the single Dark Spyro that was sold in EU says "Lights Out!" on the box for the quote. Here is the auction that I saw on eBay:

My Dark Spyro says the "All Fired Up!" just like regular Spyro. Did they just put a different quote on the box?

My country still got him on stock , he dont say lights out, he say all fire up

You have to be smart with Ebay. Sometimes you can find a great deal. Other times you can get burned. It is really no different then going to a store and buying something. You just have to know when something is not a good deal.

As far as the single pack of spyro... I wish they would release him here. However, they won't. Why? Because he was a character from Spyro's Adventure.

People on here just hate ebay because people buy the skylanders at retail before they can, and then try and make money for having some thing that's not common yet.

But it's a great source for hard to find skylander. Or skylanders some countries cant get. Like granite crusher and jade flashwing etc. (at the moment). So its really not all that bad! Plus I use it for other collectibles, and as I saw mentioned before, decals. You can pretty much get every thing on ebay.

See the problem with that is, people only get mad at the people who will try and sell X figure for higher than retail. However, it is a three way street here..... (I know it don't make sense but follow me) You also have to blame the people who are buying these figures for higher than retail. Face the facts, their wouldn't be scalpers if their was not a market for them. Also, some of the blame goes to Activision. They could do a better job of releasing these figures. Say put 8 of the new release in a box instead of 1.

I don't think the US will ever see a single pack Dark Spyro. Chalk up one more overseas exclusive (Dark Spyro single pack).

If there was Dark Spyro then it would be in a outdated box.

We prob will never get a dark spyro single, however ppl have reported seeing the 3ds pack for as low as 17.99 i think at some store. So you may find other stores clearing them out soon, since giants has been out awhile and swap force is coming.

Just bite the bullet and buy a 3DS starter pack. You can resell the stuff and recoup anyway. They are very cheap there now. They were less than a Giant costs here at one point. Plus you get a very high quality game with it.

What's the big deal anyway? He's a recolor, and objectively inferior to Series 2 Spyro. If you're a collector, you've spent much more, and if you're a general player, you really shouldn't worry about him, of all figures.

Where are the Punch, Gnarly, and Royal Singles?

I don't consider it luck. I don't consider eBay evil and I'm not the only person to use it to his advantage. I've sold plenty of things on eBay, not just Skylanders. Instead of doing trade-ins at Gamestop, I've sold used games on eBay and get significantly more than I would ever get at GameStop. EBay has done some questionable things over the years, but I'll still use them and benefit from its website. People that consider them evil shouldn't use them.... Just saying.

he got less stat tham s1 spyro in giants game.......

see i have three of these figures 1 out of the ds starter kit the other two are in boxes new but they also say lights out on them with no other langauge on the box

Sorry, I guess I wasn't clear (that's what happens when you don't proofread your posts ). My Dark Spyro says "All Fired Up" when placed on the portal. The picture in the eBay auction shows a box that says "Lights Out".

Spyro's Adventure is aleady gone to pasture, so it's either buy the game or go to eBay or never have Dark Spyro

I did contact someone from TFB and he said that most likely not but that could change. That was months before giants. So no.
