I've started to notice that I don't use hats for the boost in abilities but rather what looks good on a particular Skylander .

Example Zook and Boomer both have the military helmets
Jade Flashwing has the the hat that look like something Robin Hood would ware

Anyone else do that same thing?

Same here.I like to put on hats that suit my character rather than what boosts they give you.For example I put the Showtime Hat on Flashwing since she is fabulous.

I also use for looks unless I am trying to beat the time on certain chapters, I then use the Devil hat for speed. I definitely use the bone hat for Hot Dog and Molten Hot Dog. The thing with Molten is that the bone does not sit inside his mouth like Hot Dog, it hovers outside his mouth during the boot up when you set him on the portal. Has anyone else notice that?

What Skylander looks the most like a fox?
I'm going to put the Archer Hat on the one that is (E-cookie if you get why I want to do that).

I like the miner hat on Drill Sgt.

Easy.... Disney fan much? Unfortunately I can't think of any who look like a fox... Hot Dog is probably closest.

And I go for stats... Knight Helm on everybody. Until recently when I earned the Gold Top Hat for everybody. I put that on because it's like a badge of honour to have it.

I don't find that the stat boosts make enough difference anyway, maybe I SHOULD go for looks...

Swarm amused me with the Underpants hat, his antennae go right through the legs, for the most part.

Ninjini looks really cute with the Knight Helm, the red feathers go well with her red ponytail.

How does Hot Dog look like in the top hat?

Early on on would go for whatever has the best stats. Usually speed or armor. we only allow hats that have been unlocked in the game we are playing though, so for each new difficulty level, we start over with hats.

Except for Top hats. Characters are allowed to wear those any time as a symbol of having earned them.

Sometimes though, I just like going with what looks good. The trucker hat on Gil Grunt really works and I love the fireman hat on Eruptor

I might put the archer hat on Dino Rang (don't ask me why).
I like any top hat on Eye Brawl and the turban on Lightning Rod (he reminds me of Jafar with it on).

LOL, good choices.

I put the fisherman hat on Eye-Brawl....just looks silly.

Also the Egyptian Hat on Swarm goes pretty well.

I prism with the boxers look good....he also looks pretty good with the jester hat.

top hats on eye brawl look sweet!
I like the turban on most of the airlanders in fact. I had it on Jet Vac for a long time

are there any hats that work on Crusher? I don't like any I've tried so far because the crest of his helm always sticks through

For Crusher I use the Drum Major one....looks pretty good.

I like the knight helm on Prisim Break and the flowerpot hat on Tree-Rex.

When I had the Knight Helm on Crusher I found it worked well, it blended in nicely as a replacement to his helmet. Since I put the Gold Top Hat on him, I kinda like that, LOL! I just love Gold for some reason, and I find gold goes well with black, and Crusher's dark hues work well for me.

Hothead demands the fireman's helmet. It looks great, and it adds +5 to irony.

I use the knight helm on everyone unless im doing heroics in which i use...the winged helmet? the one that gives +12 speed.

Knight Helm on everyone. Fun is fun, but the best is the best as well.

I just put the gold top hat on once I unlock it for the skylander.

I go for what makes the Skylander look good: Eye Hat on Eye Brawl, Wizard Hat on Spyro, etc

Knight Helm on everyone, though it looks so unbelieveably stupid on zook (why did they make it float over his head) that i might have to change it, or just never use zook again..

I find the Knight Helm looks unnecessarily stupid on Chop Chop. Since he has a helmet already, I figured it would fit in and suit him nicely, but no. They HAD to perch it on top of his helmet's stupid mohawk. Looks moronic. Lucky I've earned the Gold Top Hat for both of my Chop Chops, now they just have that.

top hats on Chop Chop look nice. makes me think of Slash for some reason

Ghost Roaster with a top hat REALLY looks like Slash, with his high collar, LOL! I really love him in top hats, especially the regular black one.

I highly recommend the gold top hat for Eye Brawl
