well if it is just overseas i say congrats and then i don't have to worry about trying to hunt her down, they have the right to an exclusive every now and again, we get plenty of figures in the states that they never see overseas, but i expect eventualy she will be here as wll

Must have bought them from those scalpers via "Buy It Now" on eBay. Couldn't resist the temptation...

^ the temptation is hard to resist. 'm seriously I'm seriously considering caving in myself! The only thing stopping me is the fact that so far I haven't paid above retail for any of my figures other then Dark Spyro and Punch Pop Fizz since I don't own a 3DS.

It's not that she might not come over, it's the fact that it's nice to get it done and over with and not have to worry about who has her and having to drive all over looking for her.
Having all the in game variants is a nice feeling and the fact that scalpers exist are just annoying, not to mention the people on this forum who have to have 9 of everything for a shrine.. all those people do is make it so when the new series releases it will have much more detailed figures from all the money they spend lol . It would be nice if people got along better on these boards but sadly some adults act like children more then children lol

With that being said, i hope that everyone deserving does get a polar whirlwind for their collection and happy hunting to you all

There are some hitting ebay for 70-90 dollars. i will be selling a slightly used ipod touch on ebay, and if i can get enough money off of it, i'll buy one.

This is where the problem starts. Everyone gets mad at scalpers. Yes, they do deserve some of the blame. However, people going and buying these are what create the market for scalpers. No reason for you to rush out and buy it when it will be coming soon to the US.

I had my mom pick me up some shes in Europe right now I told her ill just pay her back for whatever she buys and im probably going to sell a few on ebay or amazon lol i need money, keep 2 for myself and give one to a friend.

Zap, is speculating. There is too much profit for there not to be singles of both Polar and Scarlet released in states. The real issue is not if but when and which retailer.

I do believe it was stated elsewhere that in Norway they were at Coop OBS

I'd find it funny and sorta cool if the only places you could find Polar Whirlwind were the Northern colder countries...

Is there a list of specific countries that this has been found in? I know MediaMarkt has them on their website but it would be good to know where else they can be found.

that's Dutch, so this would be MediaMrkt in Netherlands. We have MediaMarkt in Sweden but they don't advertise Skylanders although it's certainly possible

I still don't think Polar or Scarlet are coming out in the US. If I were to ever change my mind, it would be that we would never see Polar in the US, but we would possibly see Scarlet.

The trend has always been that when these things show up overseas, it's only a couple of weeks before we see them in the US. When Jade showed up overseas, it wasn't but maybe a day before we saw American packaging that showed us that it was indeed a Target exclusive.

Even others here have stated that these things appear in America a matter of weeks after they're released overseas. Yet, unlike Jade and wave 4 singles, we haven't heard or seen a single thing suggesting these two are coming out in the US.

Glad I already have my hookup for these So it isn't too big an issue to get either of em. And they'll likely show up stateside. Why would Activision not put em out here. Think about it like this. The more they keep us guessing, the more we want that item. So seeing others get it will increase that want. Now make us wait. They did it with Ninjini. They want us to get all hyped up...dangle it in front of us to drool over. Then when we feel like giving up hope... It hits the stores. They won't avoid all that good money. Plus they want us to clear the old inventory before they hit with these variants.

It'll hit the stores in the US. Quit being a bunch of whiny entitled crybabies about it. Scarlet will likely show up in the US at Amazon. And Polar will likely show up later on for a major US chain store. I would suspect by April.

As for sidekicks. I can say they will be available right before school in the same fashion they did the Frito Lay promotion last year. They had good success with it for kids needing snacks for school and they will do the promo then. FACT...not speculation.

So go outside and get some fresh air and stop worrying about when these silly variants will show up. They'll show up when they show up.

Your always the 1st one to cry wolf and complain when a new variant is released and claim you'll stop collecting, then change your tune when some hooks you up or said figure is released. It was over a month before whamshell made his way here. Please just stop

It seems to me that when you look at what wave 5 will consist of it is very thin. Polar and Scarlet are exactly what is needed to beef up wave 5 and finish it off with a bang. Just my opinion.

wave 4 hasn't even hit here in Sweden so making absurd claims about what will or won't show up in the U.S. (the largest single market for toys in the world) is a little premature.

People keep trying to treat these toys like video games and expecting hard & fast world wide release dates.

They're not. They are toys and they follow a very different release pattern, that being, they get released where ever around some possible date provided they can manufacture enough and ship them, and even then, they arrive when they arrive. That's how toys get released. You'll get your Polar Whirlwind. Sheesh.

To think that an in game variant would be exclusive to a convention and will not come to the US is just silly.

Sidekicks will be what tides us over till Swap Force...

How about "If Polar Whirlwind comes to the US in a mass release manner (including a retailer exclusive, but not a convention exclusive) before the end of the year, you will donate your employee exclusive Prisim Break to Dark to give away on the site. If she doesn't, then I'll donate my Toy Fair Metallic Cynder for the same purpose."
