Here in Canada, we pay far more for Skylanders: Giants than you lucky Americans! First off, availability in Canada of Skylanders' variants are next to nothing! So far, we can't get our hands on Molten Hot-Dog (maybe he's coming at walmart Canada), Granite Crusher and Jade Flashwing that are Target's exclusives. So we're forced the go the eBay/Amazon/Kijiji route with insane increasing prices! Also, we usually never get specials on Skylanders figurines except for a B2G1F promo on Giants, Lightcores and Solo Packs at Microplay... We never got the Frito-Lay's/GameStop's Skylanders promos here: Whisper Elf, Terrabite, Trigger Snappy, Gill Runt. But most important of all : we never got the wave 3 triple packs (ERUPTOR / STEALTH ELF / TERRAFIN ; PRISM BREAK / LIGHTNING ROD / DRILL SERGEANT) here forcing us to buy figurines in solo packs that are more expansive than the cheaper triple pack alternative! I'm starting to get nervous about the releasing Polar Whirlwing / Scarlet Ninjini and the others triple packs! Will we get here the Frito-Lay's Skylanders: Giants Sidekicks promo (MINI JINI, THUMPLING, EYE-SMALL, BARKLEY)? I don't think so! Why there's no such love about Canadians Skylanders fans? I twitted them but they never responds! Please fellows Canadians let's them hear our voices!

Totally agree with you ! I think that Activision should start thinking about other countries , too .... Than just America ! Hope that Activision looks at this !

I'm quite sure we're on the same schedule, we were supposed to get Wave 3 at the end of January (which if the Ebay user I got my Thumpback from was to be believed), but we had ridiculous delays. On paper, we're on the same time frame. That said, we're both also PAL region (and technically NZ is a sovereign state, but that's neither here nor there).

LOL You may be onto something... Canada also gave us; Celine Dion, Avril Lavine and Bryan Adams.... as horrible as that is, I'm not sure punishing the Skylanders fans for this is right either, it's not their fault....!!

But I think Canada shouldn't be too upset, as I think England has it the worst, followed by the rest of Europe and Australia... with the exchange rate of British Pounds to US Dollars, they pay almost twice as much as us here in the States, not to mention are excluded from many exclusives figures, like the Sidekicks (as are other countries overseas). Also, since 90% of the Canadian population lives within 100 miles of the US border, it's not impossible to say you could simply drive across the country lines for a Skylanders haul, whereas an overseas flight would cost exponentially more for someone from the EU or Australia!! I'm just saying, there are more options for someone from Canada than other countries... you don't have it the worst. Not only is Activision an American company but the United States in general is a very consumer based, capitalistic country focused too much on materialism, so it's pretty much a safe bet you'll make looots of money if you market to a place with those ideals. Personally, I think they should release everything worldwide, even after the shipping they would make a ton more money, rather than giving that profit to the secondary markets like Amazon and eBay!!

please were I live in us we haven't got wave 3 triples and haven't even see a hint of wave 4

And I want MHD even though he is a Walmart exclusive. They should think about variants in NZ. Also, why didn't we New Zealanders get the Scorpion Striker in wave 3!?

EDIT: Just got MHD as well as GITD Sonic Boom and Gold Flamey off eBay! Or as some would call it, evilBay.

I feel really sorry for others Skylanders fans around the world, I didn't know you're in the same boat as us Canadians! The purpose of this topic is to let Activision know about your frustrations finding stores exclusive toys & promotions around the world. Let them know by contacting Activision support.

its more the fact that anyone outside of the US gets screwed at least in Canada the shipping rates from the US aren't ridiculous >.<

Glad someone made a topic about this. It's a problem that is increasingly frustrating for me.

We have a Customer Service Representative on here, and they do check the site, along with a manager from Toys for Bob.

Yeah, when I see a thread or post about having a technical issue, sometimes I'll see a reply from an account like "ATIAssist" or something like that which seems official, and their responses sound like official responses.

And I'm Canadian, and I approve this message! LOL! Sure a lot of us live close to the border, but that sounds closer than it is. It's about an hour drive from the major city I live in, just to get to the border, and even then you're still in an extremely empty and rural area, you still have to do some driving to reach the kind of places where you'll find Skylanders. Also when we order from American sites, sometimes they won't ship outside of the U.S., and when they do they NEVER include the customs charge, it's always C.O.D., like a financial slap on the wrist when you receive your package. And last I knew, if you're in the States for 48 hours (so, a weekend), there's a certain amount of goods you can bring back without hassle, but a day trip, there's about nothing, you have to declare and pay duty on things.

Also, this takes time away, travelling money (like gas money and meals) and having a car. I don't currently have a car, so it's hard enough visiting places in THIS city, never mind travelling.

In the end, the thing that bothers me the most is when exclusives come out. When Wal-Mart or Toys R Us have exclusives come out - like Molten Hot Dog - we have those chains here, why can't they become available in our stores too?

I've actually long known that Canada has it better, simply because of proximity. We get their TV channels, TV shows, ads, and many of their stores. We basically share a culture, or a lot of it. But all this feels like we should also get the same store CONTENTS, and we don't.

Australia are doing pretty badly too. I think New Zealand are the worst off because at least Europe got Pearl exclusive and get a couple things early. All Australia get are preorders- no exclusives since Wham-Shell who was in ridiculously low stock anyway- but we don't even get enough stock for them... Which is better than the UK but worse than Canada IMO. IIRC I don't think that NZ even got Glow Rider.

They really have to start thinking about the other countries that are getting shafted. Certain places might not see polar whirlwind, or if you don't have targets in your country you can't get exclusives crusher and flashwing. with USA walmarts and the other walmarts there already carrying molton hot dog and the peolple that work at the ones i go to have hardly even heard of skylanders LOL they have to start getting on the same page.

Let's hope we see a change with skylanders 3 swap force

NZ did get glow Fright Rider cuz I got mine! And Wham-Shell didn't even STOCK in NZ so I had to get mine through Trade Me. Now he's my favourite.
