^LoL! I nearly $*#! myself when UncleBob said something about Polar Whirlwind! JK. I don't mind waiting for this one. It'll get here. I've been fortunate thus far so I can be patient for this.

We had about 18 hours notice that Ninjini was getting released nationwide at Toys R Us. And folks are still clinging to their "signs".

With that said - keep in mind, Target's Jade Flashwing wasn't supposed to release until the 19th. It's entirely possible that there are retailers that are getting a "Wave 4" variant that hasn't released info yet.

And... there's nothing saying that a mega retailer (like Walmart or something) might not get another variant.

Jade was never set for the 19th. It may have listed that on some boxes as a note for store employees not to set it yet, but she's featured in the march 17th weekly ad, so that was the latest possible date to hit the floor. And Target has no other "variants" coming in the near future, unless it's a Wave 5 in May or June or something.

when I picked up Granite Crusher at Gamestop last week, the guy there told me Granite was a Gamestop exclusive in the Nordic region, which I assume means Sweden, Norway, Finland (I lived here 7 years now and still get confused over which countries are Scandinavian and which are Nordic without looking it up*)

But no idea if that holds true for all exclusives as Granite is the first one I've seen here.

Except for the sighting of Polar Whirlwind and Scarlet Ninjini in Europe, can we consider that all items pertaining to the latest wave 4 are out leaving all the remaining characters on the poster as the final wave.

No, we are still missing Lightcores for Wave 4. Expected to be Pop Fizz and Chill because the packages have shown up for those on Gamestop, whereas Hex has not. Packaged images have tended to show up shortly prior to release, but it is just a guess.

Scarlet Ninjini hasn't been seen, it is just a pre-order on Amazon Germany. Packaged images showed up yesterday for that - same deal. Supposedly ships on March 14/15.

Polar Whirlwind has shown up in Norway (I think) in two stores and on Finland store website.

Wave 5 is guessed to be Drobot Series 2 and Hex Lightcore along with the missing variants. Drobot is the only known part of this.

I am starting to get the idea that there will be no new Lightcores this wave. Some parts of the world have had wave 4 singles for near 2 weeks now, and we are nearing the 1 week mark (1 week as of today for those who ordered online) for when they reached stores here, and still no sign of Lightcores.

I am thinking we are mistaken in thinking that Lightcore, Giants and singles are corresponding waves. Maybe the waves are for each line and aren't intended to align with each other. The only time they were was for the first two waves.

I think we still will. Remember, it was a month after the wave 3 singles and lightcores were released that we saw the wave 3 giants. I have a theory - I suspect that the reason for the space between separate elements of a wave may be due to not having enough manufactured for what they feel is a wide enough new release. A pre-Christmas release of Thumpy and Eye-Brawl would have made a lot more sense, yet we didn't get one. Even the TRU ad originally said 8 new figures. I believe that they didn't have enough stock at the time of the release of the other wave 3 figs to make a decent release of the giants, so they held off. I think it might be the same here with the wave 4 lightcores.

Oh, and don't forget the resculpt of lightcore Pop Fizz. That could have delayed production.

Like I said, just a theory, nothing I can confirm.

I hope they come sooner than later. Ready to know that I'm done with the current wave, so I can focus on the next wave.

We have a winner! I'm not sure where this idea came from that there are defined brand-wide waves that are coordinated between all price points. That's really not the way the industry works. From a corporate planning perspective, that might be Activision/TFB's goal. But the practical reality is that core figure singles, Lightcore, Giants, and triple packs are all different product lines under one brand. Each might have the same number of waves, and the same numbered waves in multiple product lines might roll out around the same time, but there's no firm connection between them, as we've seen over the last couple waves. The only reason the first two waves are any different is because they were produced in advance and held until the game was released.

Regarding the LC wave 4 timing, I'd point out that there were three weeks between the wave 3 singles/LC release at TRU before Christmas and the wave 3 Giants release in the middle of January. Wave 4 LCs will likely be here soon based on the GS order pages. But it doesn't have to be soon just because the other lines have wave 4 out, nor does it somehow fail to be wave 4 if it doesn't come out within some arbitrary time window after the others.

Could it be possible since TRU has Leg. Lightcore chill they could possibly have some sort of right to be the only lightcore chill out for awhile. i have no info to support this, just thought

People who get mad at other posters for going off topic need to chill a bit. Yes, it can get annoying at a certain point when people come in and just post something for no reason and it totally derails the topic. However, sometimes just like in normal everyday face to face conversation you start on one topic and it flows into another. Now, if someone is talking about Jade Flashwing and then someone comes in and posts about how the Cubs have not won the world series since 1908, then we have a problem. When someone talks about X figure and it leads to conversation about Y figure, we don't need to create another topic for it. You know how many topics we would have? Way too many. When you are talking about unreleased figures well, you are going to start talking about the other unreleased figures also. Anyways, /rantoff.

My point in my rant was that you can't expect a topic to stay on topic forever. Now, take the topic about the speculation why RDT has not been released in other countries besides the USA. That one was a train wreck ten posts into it. However, when you are talking about things stuff is going to go off on tangents. Why people get their panties all bunched up over this? I have no idea. If it has a natural flow and it is actual conversation about the game and what not people shouldn't get all upset.

If you are talking about Polar Whirlwind sightings and it goes on to Scarlet Ninjini sightings or, talking about if it is going to be released here or this country, that really shouldn't be a problem. If we start having a convo about someones collection or their dog, then we can start with the stay on topic please posts.

I think some people are confused. I am not saying that you can just post some random thing in a thread. If it is in the natural flow of a conversation on something then it shouldn't be a big deal. Otherwise you are going to have to quote a bunch of things and make a new post and it will be a big mess. Anyways, maybe we will just have to disagree.

I declare this topic officially derailed. Where it is reasonable to expect some evolution of topic conversation in a thread about 7/8 of this thread seems devoted to off-topic conversation and becoming slightly unfriendly. There is no impending new information about Polar Whirlwind at this time and it likely a new thread will appear at the time of the next appearances anyway.
