What changes do you guys think of Battle Arenas in Swap Force now that jumping is a game mechanic in the game?

It'll go back to what it was like in the 3DS version.

Which is a good thing because the 3DS version included a lot of arena hazards.

That is a good question, It could lead to some really fun PvP level designs at the least.

I wonder how auto aiming would work? Would the character jump over the projectile or would it hone in on him/her in the air?

Wouldn't jumping ruin arena battle stages like the one full of jump pads.

Actually, jump pads would probably bounce you up even higher. Wonder if characters with flight have better jump? Otherwise flight will remain pretty much useless...

Hmm... Interesting thought. Although, some characters have tracking projectiles - like Gill Grunt - so it would be assumed that jumping wouldn't make much of a difference to those kinds of attacks. Characters like Spyro who's projectiles only go in a set direction would probably be a bit more difficult to attack a jumping character.

Flight increases armour and speed, it doesn't really have any use other than that in the previous two games either; other than being able to glitch up small platforms and fly above water.

Like I mentioned in another thread, they could give the characters that have flight the "glide" ability after a jump like they did in the 3DS game.

i would doubt it, i would assume it would be used for getting around obstacles or jumping up to a higher level in an arena, if you jump when they attack you wouldnt jump high enough to dodge anything, but at the same time certain moves you wouldnt be effected by...ie you could jump over poison puddles on the ground from pop fizzes potions etc.

Would if you could just dodge every attack that comes near.

That would be awesome if you were doing it but a person did to you that would be bad!

I'm not sure, but I do know that jumping is going to add a whole new aspect for combos and strategies.
