I like the green one better

I went to Gamestop today to pre-order "The Walking Dead" and went over to see if they had anything new (as I always do). In addition to the 6 each of Crusher, Thumpback, EyeBrawl, and Hot Head, I found one each of the Green and Blue PBs. I'm not sure which my kids have, so I picked them both up. There definitely is a noticable difference, but I'll be honest - If it was'nt being discussed, I doubt I'd notice or care.

uhhh... i have blue and clear crystals?

I found a green today at walmart,dont forget to check your Easter section at walmart.skylanders section in video games empty..skylanders in easter fully stocked tons of eye brawl,thumpback and everyone else.

Exactly like mine.

I grabbed a green crystal version today at Wal-mart. As someone else stated, doubt I'd have even noticed had I not read it here. I prefer the green version to my blue, just feels the way it should be. From memory, his crystals are green in the game right?

his back is an aqua sorta color, but his "arms" are crystal clear.

I picked up two green ones today LOL

I dunno if anyone is still looking, but I popped into Best Buy and spotted some of these blue guys. At another BB I checked, they were similarly very vivid in color.

i got the blue on CHRISTMAS EVE!!!

Yeah, I used to think that too...but there's too much funny stuff going on in Giants specifically targeted towards OCD collectors:
1. Label Font situation on lightcores (Eruptor, Prism Break, Drobot)
2. Lightcore sticker variations
3. Character variations

Thumpback missing a pupil or the wrong cardboard backing is an error. This type of stuff is an ON PURPOSE--more likely to solicit to those who have to have every variant possible. I bet Activision will never admit this but this type of stuff doesn't happen by accident. Some of the labeling I might attest to marketing changing it for some reason (if they stop appearing) but the character variations that are found in quantity is something else.

I'm starting to think the blue is rare. My walmart today had 20 prism breaks all were dark green. I got the blue one from toys r us the day they sent out an email about wave 3 being in stores the next day.

Are the changes on purpose? Sure. But that doesn't mean that it's done to target OCD collectors. Any marketing person will tell you that that sort of collector only accounts for a miniscule portion of their business. They make their money on the vastly greater number of people who buy some figures, but probably never even get a complete set, much less collect variations. The investment they'd have to sink into making a change wouldn't be worth what they make in return.

If we had access to that inside info, I'm sure we'd find that there were much more mundane reasons for all these variations. E.g. a design was updated, but the person managing the paint applications wasn't notified in time. Or they found a quality issue with the way they were doing things initially. Or they decided to change the packaging to make it pop more to eager young eyes. Etc. Trust me, those sorts of things happen all the time in any manufacturing scenario.

I have a blue-clear one and one with green back crystals and clear-green crystals on his hand. I'm gonna customise the blue-clear one though.

I think it depends on your location... around me there are TONS of the blue one but it's rare I come across a Green one (a friend in a diff part of the country had picked one up for me thankfully though- much appreciated!!).... I have never seen a clear one in the wild or I would pick one up for sure!! Those ones seem to be the most rare... also the Blue/Green combo ones seem to be more scarce, in general as well!

When i complete series 2, im definitely buying one of those its too pretty!

Mine is blue...got it a long time ago...didn't know there where green ones....will have look an see if i can find one.
