Why would you waste $229.99 on a Glitter Hot Head? It's the same as a normal Hot Head, but with glitter. Can't you just be happy enough with a normal Hot Head?

I bought mine for $80.

I wouldn't personally but I'd spend $15 on it at the store and then sell it for $200 bucks myself to be honest, most people would too they just won't admit it.

Call it scalping I call it being smart I don't want a glitter skylander, but I want more non glitter skylanders so I will sell the glitter skylander to buy more normal skylanders I don't have.

I think if people work and make their own money they are free to spend it on whatever they want. The more important question is, why do you care what people spend their money on?

Seriously Gill Fan, I know you have your opinion about things. You are more then making it evident you think anyone who would pay over retail for a Skylander is a idiot. But you only need one actual topic and one actual post voicing your opinion. You have all ready stated this in the topic you started and linked to in this thread. Please keep it there and don't start spamming the forum with this.

And people are free to spend whatever they want on anything they choose. To you it is not worth it, to others it might be worth 10x that. It's all about the eye of the beholder. And there can not actually be much of a debate on this because of that.

In my personal opinion I d think it is a waste of money to buy them. They aren't really special if you think about it.

It's like asking someone why they pay for health insurance. Some people don't think it's worth it but it's all in how you look at it.

Technically, no...but neither are comics but you see Walking Dead #1 in 9.8 going for $1,500 or more that was created in 2003. Bottom line is learn simple economics--supply vs demand. Less supply, increased demand = higher price.

Also, what is a fair price?
Answer: What someone is willing to pay for it.

I would if i couldnt get it any cheaper. And its not wasting some people see it as an investment, a $229 purchase can turn into $1000 cheque down the line... But personally i love variants, i quite like them more than the normal figures, its kinda like the shiny of pokemon to me.
