I was first in line at 7:15. Waited with a few others until about the last hour everybody showed up. The TRU girl let us know there was only 12 and handed out exactly that many tickets. Everybody else that showed up after that ended up leaving when we would tell them that was it. I got mine smilie. I was first in and first out, lol.

Was about 5th in line got there 15 minutes before they opened and managed to snag one. I feel bad for the guy in front of me with two kids with him who didn't get any because they weren't limiting them 1 per customer. His kid left in tears and the heartless guy at the checkout with five wouldn't even spare one of them.

Thought about driving 30-40 mins to the closest TRU this morning but just too much work to do this morning. Oh well, the kids will just have to wait. Hopefully they'll be available online in a few days and I can just order one.

Any news on when TRU will be getting their next shipments in? I expect the first batch will sell out fast.

I laugh at the almost 150 listings on eBay for Ninjini right now. I'm still amazed how many people try to make money on a character that will have a wide release in time, surprised even more by those willing to overpay for one just to get it in hand a week or so earlier than most others.

Got mine. It was nuts. I was 4th in line of about 25+ people. They had them all out on a table and it was a free for all. Way different than when they did Thump/EyE Brawl release. They probably had about 12. They did not limit it 1 per person this time which really ticked some people off. I saw a few people buying 2 and the manager was getting hammered by customers.

My toys r us had 16 and I was number 13. Glad they didn't stop at 12. I got there about a half hour before opening, but some people waited over an hour. It's freezing outside and there was a mother with a newborn baby and open toed shoes waiting in line. Talk about commitment.

She should be available in the next week or two at all the other stores, she's not exclusive to TRU by any means, they just got an early release today to get ahead of the game... I'll be picking mine up this weekend or next week when she hits the rest of the stores because I work during the week... sounds pretty hectic at TRU today, I am for sure not missing those pushy crowds!! lol smilie

It was orderly at my TRU. Even when there was only the 3 of us waiting at a little after 7, the girl told us right off the bat that they had twelve and it would be one per person. They had them behind the electronics counter and we had to give the guy our ticket to get the figure.

It was very hectic inside the store. Workers just pointed at the wall and they weren't on the front of the racks or on the same one but behind older ones like Crusher so people were just throwing those on the ground pretty much to get to her. It felt a lot like Black Friday but I didn't mind because I enjoy the chaos.

I got to my TRU at 9am (opens at 10am) and was #6 for the six for sale! About 15 more people showed up later but were turned away. The people with me were 4 ladies (moms) and 1 gentleman (with me 2 guys) all looking just to surprise their kids today. No scalpers but maybe among those arriving later? Good company for the hour wait. Had to tell them about this forum which they had no idea about (oh no! more competition) smilie The store had them ready at the Electronics counter. No craziness.

Good luck to all in finding Ninjini and dont fret.

I got there 45 minutes early was second in line. When they opened there were 24 people in line and 17 Ninjini's. They had 11 boxes so employees had set some aside prior to opening. There didn't seem to be any scalpers in line at least the early part of it.

Same here. The TRU I went to handled the store opening in a very orderly fashion. There were only 11 Ninjini for sale. The store manager came outside before the store opened and explained that each customer would be limited to one Ninjini, and that anyone who entered the store running or shoving/pushing people would be denied a Ninjini. The staff had the 11 Ninjini in a shopping cart behind the checkout/cashier desk. When the doors opened, we were essentially escorted by the staff, in an orderly single-file line, to the cashier's desk.

Reading some the stories here this morning, I can only assume that either, A) each individual TRU gets to set its own store policy about quantity limitations and store opening procedures, or, B ) some of ya'll are bending the truth a bit.

I got my Ninjini, was first in line. Also picked up a Thumpback for the B1G1 40% off, which will be a present for a friend of my son's birthday party. They had 8 cases, so 16 total. The number of them was perfect, exactly 16 in line so everyone that was there at opening got one. They had a limit of 2 total Skylanders per purchase, but we were all parents in line (no scalpers as far as I could tell) and only wanted one so no one even asked if they could get two Ninjinis. They probably would not have allowed it, my TRU tends to be on top of this sort of thing.

They had an orderly line at the Exit, per usual, and walked us in line to the register where they had one of each displayed from the case (Ninjini, Eye Brawl, Thumpback and Crusher) and you told them which you wanted - then they pulled them out of the boxes behind the counter. They do not do "free for all" on the pegs for the HTA items at my TRU, fortunately.

My wife was there 30 minutes after opening and Ninjini was gone. According to the manager (who looks like Gus from Breaking Bad to you folks who like that very adult show), people were lined up and wiped them out. Heck, there was only one Eyebrawl and Thumpback remaining, so she picked that up for me. This was ridiculous.

I guess I troll Gamestop now until they get it in.

I got to my TRU 45 minutes early. 10 people in line. About 15 minutes before opening I saw employees come out with tickets so I grabbed the kids and got in line. I was #15 and they only had 16 Ninjini in stock. They had the Ninjini at the Customer Service desk along with lots of Eyebrawls, Thumpbacks, Hotheads, and Crushers so a lot of people where grabbing 4 giants total to take advantage of the B1G1 40%.

I got to the TRU here around 9:30 and there was three people in line. Shortly after me more people showed up. There wasn't really a line formed because it was raining and windy so everyone was just kind of huddled in front of the door under the overhang. When we walked in they had three Ninjini's sitting on the counter which those first people grabbed. Then they started opening more boxes and just setting them up on the counter and everyone was grabbing them. I was lucky to grab one because they were going just as quick as they got set down. I'd say they had maybe 20 in total and it wasn't enough as there were a few more people who couldn't get one.

I also asked them to check the computer for the rest of Wave 4 and for LC Legendary Chill. Nothing came up in the computer.

It was a typical day at the TRU in Fayetteville, GA. The figures weren't out on the shelf. So, the clerk had to go in the back to get them. He was handing them out as he opened the boxes. There was six groups (4 single people, guy with kid, and a couple) wanting Ninjini. It was orderly and everyone got one with the couple getting two Ninijinis. I'm not sure about the total, but it could have been 12 because the clerk brought out plenty of boxes. Later, when I was searching through minifigures, a lady was talking to a TRU employee and saying how she missed out on the Ninjini. This was probably 10 mins after I got mine, so they did sell out.

Each store does it differently. This was my first time at the TRU I went to today because usually they seem to never get stuff at the same time as the other TRU in my town but today it was the other way around. The other store usually does the ticket system but the one I went to today was a free for all.

The manager at the store said there was no corporate policy about limiting to one each, so I guess it was up to each store.

Wow! Look at all teh Ninjini's on eBay! Obviously, this event was catered to scalpers. Didn't see a single kid in line at my store. One jerk bought three - THREE! And they're for resale! He was even bragging about it to the clerk! (PS - I am that jerk... picking up two for two coworkers... and I'll be making a small profit, as they won't be getting the BOGO40% discount...)

I was at mine 15 mins before opening was 7th in line. When we were let in and got to them they only had 4 so the first four people in line got one. I asked if that was all they had and the manager said yes. My husband went to the one near where he works and they also only got four and they were gone. So no luck for me. Do we have any clue when these are being released elsewhere?

Was a mad house, probably about 16 people showed up, I believe they only had 10-12 Ninjini's. Several people tried grabbing two, but a manager stopped them at check-out.

2nd in line this morning out of 6 when TRU opened in Jackson MI.
12 Ninjinis for sale and no limit on how many you could buy. Grabbed one for myself then after making sure that the others who were waiting got theirs I grabbed one more for my nephew. That wound up being a good thing as my sister texted me that her store in Indianapolis, IN was sold out 5min after opening and she got there too late. My nephew will be in for a very happy surprise when they come to visit me this weekend!.

I was 6th in line this morning and they ended up having 12. Everyone that was there before they opened ended up getting one. There appeared to be only one scalper in the line (1st one in line) otherwise it was just parents and grandparents. I expected more people given how it was the last giant and that eBay prices were high (Which would bring out the scalpers). Maybe because the notice went out relatively last minute, who knows.

If this was the crowd for Ninjini, whenever they release LC Chill it shouldn't be too hard to get.

My former store limited it to 1 per customer. Kids had a 2 hour delay from school so they went with me. They got bored and agitated quickly. I tried to explain to them that this is what it is like each time a new figure comes out. Its easier this year as opposed to last year as this time around, there is enough to go around and still have some left over for the rest of the day.

It was pretty wild at the store I went to (San Antonio, San Pedro Crossing). They had them inside behind the counter in the gaming area. They had two employees checking people out, one on each side of the counter area. The line from outside quickly split into two lines inside.

The problem was that, while one employee was only giving them to the people as he checked them out, the other started handing them out to people who wanted to do more shopping and then checkout up front. So his side started running though the limited supply much, much faster than the first side. People were asking the guy on the second side to do the same. At about the point at which the guy on the second side started handing them out as well, the guy on the first side reached someone who wanted to check out at once in place, and thus his side suddenly stopped having them handed out as he took time to do the checkout. Lots of very upset people about how they were being handled.

I ended up with one of the last few to be handed out. Then on impulse I stopped by a Walmart that I do not normally visit, and hit paydirt there with Molten Hot Dog. So a successful day, overall, but a good bit of chaos in the middle.

I got there about 35-40 mins early. I was sort of first in line... There was a lady who was there waiting in her car before I got there, but I got to the door first. I let her go in first when the doors opened. By the time 10:00AM rolled around there were about 7 or 8 people waiting, but the guy came out and said that they only had FOUR (!!) Ninjini's available. Four of us went in and the rest left. At least we got ours. I questioned a few employees about wave 4 on Friday, but they did not know anything. Said to call tomorrow to see if they get any shipments.

This was at a Scottsdale, AZ TRU BTW.
