After having some vague news regarding said wave hitting New Zealand in particular on the 30th of January, I've been a little anxious for them to arrive, but by now they're well overdue.

I don't suppose anyone has any info? It's slightly disheartening waiting day after day for em to arrive in my corner of the world (Oh god I'm such a boring person).

I have no idea about the NZ or AU's Wave 3, most people are in the Swap Force forums now.

im with you...im in NZ and im waiting for the 3rd wave to come out. ill post on here if i see anything about them

I live in Australia and does wave 3 include thump ack cause the only shop in town that sells skylanders has thump back but none others

australia has wave three available at most shops that stock skylanders now. kmart, target, big W, jb hifi and eb games all had multiple of all the wave three figures when i was looking on thursday.

as for you kiwis, i have no idea, the new zealand ebgames site still lists the wave three as "Available: TBC 2013"

Eesh, your K-mark stocks em? The K-mart where I am doesn't do Video games anymore. Here's hoping New Zealand gets em next week.

As for Wave 3, yes, it includes Thumpback, Eye-brawl, and a few other series 2 reposes and Shroomboom lightcore, if memory serves. Personally I'm really only gunning for the Giants since I'm going for a sort of minimalist approach to my collection.

And if it takes us this long to get Wave 3, how bad is it going to be for future waves, or heaven forbid, Swap Force.....

~if you look at how SSA was handled in NZ - the initial release is quick to get stock..the later waves take their time..so expect wave 4 to be delayed..but we will get everything for swapforce on release day.

Hmmm, I actually don't know, I ordered the Catapult/Hot dog/Series 2 Zap on Ebay, so I'm really not sure. Not the first time I've relied on Ebay to keep my collection up to date either. Truth be told, I'd have ordered Eye Brawl/Thumpback on Ebay by now, if I could find them for a reasonable price and didn't have a minor indicator of em hitting NZ shores. Probably gonna get Ninjini online at this rate too.

Ahh, good to know about SF. I'd hate to cut my journey short because of delayed release dates.

Addition: After talking with the guys at my local EB, the signs aren't good. Aparantley Activision underestimated their popularity, under produced, and further compounded by scalpers. To be honest, the fact Wave 3 is hard to find in America doesn't bode well for a timely release.

Been keeping an eye out in Australia, luckily got the prism break/lightning rod/drill Sargent in an EB Game's last weekend, and the striker force battle pack the week before that. Two different shops last ones and kept in the back.

Kmart today picked up Thumpback and Eye brawl both were last of each, in fact everything else was series 1 or swarm.

You have to keep checking stores or if you can preorder you should get them.

I've got preorders down, but as far as I've seen Wave 3 isn't officially in New Zealand just yet. I'm close to just ordering em from the UK or somewhere they actually have a reasonable stock as opposed to the non existant presence.

I think it's a general issue with supply, and New Zealand is veeeeerrrrrrrry low on priorities. This makes me sad.

just spoke with eb games in christchurch, they still dont have a release date "on our computers it still says 'by the end of 2013'"

Has wave 2 even finished here in NZ? I've been looking all over the place for a series 2 Hex and have been unsuccessful. I looked at what was released for wave 2 and there's still some figures I have not seen on the shelves at all, like Bash, Flameslinger and Hex. I did only get into this game a couple of weeks ago so I may have just missed them but I can't find anything on the Internet about them.

wave 2 is definitely finished (well christchurch have/has had them all) i got hex s2 on boxing day in dunedin (on my way back from a holiday) got flameslinger in january, and lightcore jet vac was released a couple weeks ago (which i believe is known as wave 2.5 as he came out on his own everywhere)

I'm being very restrained with my Giants collection, all I want is one S2 of each element (just missing magic), the 8 Lightcores (Missing four), the eight new ones (Just need standard Jet Vac, fricken' Portal owners pack), and the giants (three shy of the lot, Thumpback's coming via Ebay)

I got my wave 2 on Amazon so they arrived before Christmas.

I haven't seen any where I live (Wellington).

I actually came across Flashwing and Sprocket in the Danniverke (Oh god I can't spell that) Warehouse on Christmas eve, I was honestly NOT expecting to find them at all. I've had pretty good luck with Wave 2 in my neck of the woods (Hastings, as previously specified), though I did order the Catapult Battlepack on Ebay.

As also stated earlier, should anyone be having trouble with a specific figure, I can keep an eye out for em in Hastings since for Wave 2 at least, it seems to be a fine balance of good supply, and low demand. I'd be happy to help the more dedicated collectors pad out their set.

im still holding out hope we will get them soon..as that pack is in wave 3...i really look forward to the catapult pack (definitely not because of the catapult ) as Zap is the last one i need before i have all of them from SSA (yes i know zap s2 isnt SSA..but im only getting one version of each character and in my eyes...hes SSA )

come on new zealand..pull through for me!! >.<

I really want wave 3 because of the Scorpion Striker which has Hot Dog! And I'm also looking foward to Thumpback and Eye-Brawl!

I can say Hot-dog plays quite well (Love the fire wall attacks, wheee!), and Series 2 Zap.... I confess his Wow Pow isn't exactly stunning, but I do like the double tanks on his back, plus I love the path swapping you get with Series 2. The Catapult is also quite a fun little item, it not only looks great, but it's a mortar style attack which can be VERY helpful.

Incidently, I'm Series 1 Ignitor shy of having a complete SSA set, and I've ordered him on Ebay, whee!

To add a little wish list, I don't suppose anyone out there knows much about standard Jet Vac? I'm going to assume he's going to follow S2 Cynder's example and come out in a single pack later in the line, I'd hate to have to get him second hand, or worse, through the Non Portal Owners pack...

eh, i got the non portal owners pack...as it was about 30$ more...and i got 2 characters i didnt have, so it worked out cheaper, theres been no announcement of a jet vac on his own other then the lightcore version.

In hindsight I should've done the same, I was under the impression it came with those two anyway.
Regardless, if they're releasing Cynder as a single pack, odds are Jet Vac will get the same treatment in Wave 4, or Wave 5. Time will tell.

Quick question: I know it says Mightyape'll stock em, does that mean other places like say, EB, or The Warehouse, or Harvey Normans or Dick Smiths as well? At least if one place stocks them, the rest of the them can't be far behind.

the fact that they are pricing them at the normal prices for NZ says to me that they are getting them from their usual supplier - none of them are special order or anything like that, so i expect everyone else will have them by the end of the month as well.

I've seen some of the wave 3 figures show up in JB Hifi here in Dunedin, specifically:

Eye Brawl
Thumpback
Shroomboom LC
Eruptor, Stealth Elf and Terrafin
Drill Sargent, Lightning Rod and Prism Break

However no sign of the other wave 3 figures I'm looking for:
Stealth Elf Single
Scorpion Striker, Zap and Hot Dog

and the other singles from the triple packs.

Thumpback and Eye Brawl are available at my local EB games, however I'm still looking for LC Shroomboom, hopefully not too much longer.
