I know this is a completely obscure and minuscule detail to make a topic about, but I thought it was funny.

So after leaving the game paused on the stat screen for a couple of minutes, I realised that Stealth Elf had an animation while she was just standing there. So I've done a little experimentation, and tried to see a pattern in this. Thus far, of the characters I have;

Stealth Elf; Has one animation, does typical ninja flips and slashes.
Flashwing; Has no animations. What a gip!
Dino-Rang; Has two animations, one is a jump trick with his boomerangs, the other is the most hilariously adorable thing I've seen in the Skylanders series thus far (and probably why more grounded reptiles are the best).
Camo: Has one animation, lies down casually and looks over at the stat options.


Yeah, I'm all over minor character details like this, don't be surprised if I decide to see ALL the Giants figures I own sooner or later.

Chop Chop spins his sword.

I'm not sure, I don't leave the game idle much, but I think they do similar things if they're standing around in the game for a while. It might be where they were designed to do this stuff in the first place, in SSA (which might be why Flashwing has nothing, she's new).

The Stat Screen/Character Management screen (as I call it) is just better for this, as you can see them better.

This isn't the first time I've seen this. In American McGee's Alice, if you left her alone for a while she'd do a different animation depending on what toy/weapon she was holding.

I did a bit more self-research after that post and came to the same possibility regarding their origin (it helps that I have every new character bar one regular and one giant).

It's still pretty neat to see these so clearly. I can spend hours on other games analysing idle animations...

It seems like only the old characters have animations.

I've always liked Spyro's 'bark" that he does.

I like the "Drill Sgt Spin" and the "BasketBall Ghost With The Most" (Ghost Roaster spinning his head.)

Is that what it is? Well, he does eat a lot of garbage.

To keep on topic, Double Trouble magically juggles his staff about, and Zook'll put his Bazooka down, sit down for a few seconds before getting up.

Stump Smash stretches his arms, Sunburn stops flying and looks at the stats, and Voodood sticks his axe in ground, looks at the stats, then fixes his axe and resumes his normal position.

I like Flameslinger's most of the top off my head. He looks around with his ears up like he hears something, thinks, then shrugs. It's so cute

Spyro scratches like a dog, Drobot messes with his wing, Cynder looks at her nails, and Warudo kind of spins around

Ah, I almost forgot, Whirlwind sort of preens herself.

Lightning Rod does a Strongman pose for his.

Drill Sergeant spins around, and also tries to understand what stats are.
