And I wouldn't even have a problem with that. I just can't with the whole 100-150$ for basically one thing.

And the 40$+ pricetag is not impressing me either on eBay.

The fact that it's a green varient and happens to be coming out in the ad on St. Patricks day is totally irrelevant and just a coincidence. St. Patricks Day happens to be on a Sunday this year, two weeks before Easter.

It's a Target exclusive. It will be in stores that week.

Lesty, I assume you're a Target Team Member? If so, can you provide us Skylander fans the DPCI for Jade Flashwing? It will have its own DPCI and ship in its own box of 12, since it will have a unique SKU, ala Granite Crusher (also a Target exclusive or was).

I will say this, though. If you're saying it will be out, for the sole fact that you've seen the weekly ad for the week of March 17th, doesn't mean it will be out. I remember the weekly ad for either the 16th or the 23rd of December, where it featured a picture of Thumpback. Just because it displayed a picture of him, didn't mean Target got him. They actually didn't start appearing until Friday, the 11th of January, where some lucky people found them at Wal-Marts while out to get their Scorpion Strikers.

Now, if you know because you've seen more than the ad, it's easy to assume that you also have the DPCI for Jade? If so, please enlighten us Skylander fans, so we can keep an eye out for it. Thanks.

That's correct. I was surprised as anyone when we advertised Thumpback in early January without having quantities, but that's who Activision sent us a sample of to show.
Jade does not have a DPCI (yet). I know we have a special DPCI for granite Crusher, but Jade doesn't have one yet. I've seen the sample and worked on the creative for it. It's not just something we show in the ad. We're speaking directly Jade Flashwing being a Target exclusive. Normally, we just show an assortment (regular, Lightcore and Giant) or some mix like that.

So do we have a ROUGH idea on what is coming out when? I don't care if they are confirmed or not. Just want something to work with.

No, thanks. The "First World Problems" argument is a failed one, it's a cop-out to distract from the discussion at hand because you don't have a real response. As far as I'm concerned, it goes without saying that these things aren't REAL problems. Just because there are worse problems in the world, real problems, it doesn't mean we don't have the right to mention these lesser problems. Does my not getting this variant or that one mean that someone in the third world gets fed? No, so that means this has nothing to do with the topic at hand. Activision is pretty fair about variants if you ask me. Sure, some are virtually unattainable by the general public, but they do throw us a bone here and there. Glow Sonic Boom, gold Flameslinger, glow Fright Rider, glow Cynder, blue Bash, red Drill Sergeant, green Gill Grunt, and all the in-game variants have been made readily available, and it's not the company's fault that the solution they do offer isn't enough for some people. Variants like the new flocked snow characters are made to be rare, it's the whole purpose of them.

They give the general public the really good stuff, like Molten Hot Dog, Gnarly Tree Rex, Granite Crusher, Punch Pop Fizz, and Royal Double Trouble. Those characters are objectively better and more unique in-game than some silly little "special" tag, and they know better than to put the in-game variants in situations where the general public can't get them. They really are doing enough, and I'm sorry you don't think so, but I think you're looking a gift horse in the mouth on this one. Activision is actually exceptionally nice about granting access to variants.

Yes, LOL! Anybody can get anything on eBay. But I have 2 problems with eBay: 1) It's difficult for me to get deliveries, my landlord has yet to install my door buzzer, and every delivery company appears to be incompetent about it, and 2) It's nearly impossible to get anything for what it costs, or less (at least with Skylanders). Not sure about all of them, but amazing how THREE of the examples you gave are exactly what I'm talking about, LOL! As far as I know, Gnarly Tree Rex, Punch Pop Fizz and Royal Double Trouble are all only available by buying the game on a certain system, with Gnarly coming WITH a system. That's what this whole discussion is about!

For the most part I agree with you, they've been pretty fair. I was just trying to point out that the special circumstances around obtaining these figures makes them somewhat unavailable to some people (for example, Gnarly comes with a Blue Wii. I already have a Wii, making this package undesirable, especially considering the bulk of the worth of the package, what makes the price reasonable, is the part I have no use for). Enough so that I called them unavailable to me and those like me, and people apparently took offense to that.

No, not entirely (most have been on the right side though).... the S2 Legendary 3 pack had its TRU Exclusive mark on the left side of the package this year... they're not all consistent, it prolly just depends on how the final package design is approved for production. Here is a pic of the S2 Legendary package for reference...
