has anyone tried to scrape the paint off Prism Break? if he is all clear, would it be possible to get the paint off? or is it in high-quality primer...

Glumby001, the guy who bought quite a few prototypes off of Taobao, put more unpainted Sidekicks on eBay.
They ended a while back.

The Clear Prism Break is NOT painted. It was made from a clear plastic mold without paint. In fact, most Skylanders start with some type of colored plastic and then get paint apps thereafter.

that's what im wondering about, lets say i remove camo's paint, he would be green. if i were to remove PB's paint, would he be clear or would only his arms be clear?

I believe only PB's crystals would be clear as well as the crystals on his base. As an experiment, I did try and strip the paint off of a Camo and hardly anything came off after being immersed in paint thinner for 30 min. The colored plastic doesn't seem to come off very easily, if at all...

Just google taobao agents, and read reviews on them to judge what's best. Taobao is popular in the lolita(fashion) community, so you'll find plenty of opinions there. There's many different ones, I've only used Taobaonow and ask them in the comments for a paypal invoice instead of credit card because I don't like their credit card interface.
Each agent has their own fees/policies so just choose the one you like.

That was your Ninjini? Wow, I hope they weren't joke bids, that would suck D:

My proto-Ninjini came in the mail and...yeah right to eBay. I'm not as much of a collector of these as I was, and while the novelty of having her is nice, she doesn't work and I've already got prototype pieces.

The light up effect though is *beautiful*, and really makes the figure stand out. Can't wait to see how the Scarlet version looks.

I wanted to better understand the differences between your Ninjini and the one Matteomax recently sold. Is the missing "jini" bottle the sole difference in the two? Did it happen to come from the same Taobao seller?

It shows a black screen if I try to load her from the getgo, and an error screen after I remove and put it back on the portal. Resetting does nothing, but she lights up beautifully.

Hey, ya know, prototypes, scrapped concept art etc, really fascinates me.

I used to play a game called "Toontown Online" and it has a very interesting history. It had stuff like scrapped attacks and HQs and old playgrounds.

I saw something very similar on Taobao.

I do find it pretty humorous though, Matteo, that you find this uber expensive seeing that your Ninjini proto sold for over $500!??

Might be a silly question, but has anyone here purchased anything off of Taobao? I'm pretty tempted. I have relatives over in Hong Kong and I could have them shipped there if they won't ship to the US. I'm kinda curious to purchase a few items off there considering how cheap they are.

Matteomax, have you bought off there? I'm gonna have my wife take a look to see if she can better translate and navigate to possibly purchase some Ninjini or the prototypes they have/paint rejects.

I have not bought off of Taobao. I tried asking Kung Fu Man, but he responded thinking that I was gonna resell them on eBay. I won't! I mainly want the Sidekicks..

thanks, but i just feel like im not getting the same search results as everyone. the people here get things like ninjini and sidekick protos and the closest thing i get is a double trouble (same as the ones you find at gamestops)

@Xerokills: There has been some advice posted on ordering from Taobao from some members that have used it, i'll repost it below. I have been learning myself to do it. TBH, given the amount of traffic darkspyro.net gets, especially from scalpers, I think it's best that the advice given is to do your own research and then ask specific question thereafter. That's what I've done and the process seems to get easier each time. Feel free to PM me if you have other questions...

It's a factory reject, you'll find a lot of those on there that have had the base torn off of them.
