I think that the characters that would be the awesomest on both paths would be Bash, Double trouble, Hot head, Shroomboom, Warnado, Fright rider, Zook, Bouncer, and Lightning rod.

True, but her Forest Ninja is more for story mode rather than PvP though. Not a bad path, but the damage numbers just don't compare to PBS.

Well, I only have Flashwing. Sorry!! BUT, it depends on which you prefer honestly. If you are a projectile kind of person, then go with Super Shards. If you like to deflect attacks and spin, then go with Super Spinner! Hope it helped!

Whirlwind is an ABSOLUTE BEAST on Tempest Dragon because her Wow Pow Power definitely sides better with Tempest Dragon. Plus each do 30 damage, which may seem low, but when you spam them, they add up very quickly! Ultimate Rainbower is definitely fun, especially with Rainbow Singularity, but the damage numbers just don't add up. Plus, there are far better "lobbers" out there than her. Hope it helped. Oh, and Camo is more of a personal choice. People say Vine Virtuoso is stronger, but both have their flaws. I would probably go with Vine Virtuoso, due mostly to others' recommendations.

The problem with the "Both paths" idea is that some characters have upgrades on both paths with the same trigger buttons, they'd have to try to find a way around that... And seeing that it would be unacceptable to change the buttons of pre-existing characters, they have 2 choices: 1) to exclude some characters, like with the upgrade path switch or 2) forego this idea entirely. And with the outcry about option #1 when they did it this time, option #2 seems more likely.

The fireball path makes him a beast because he deals lots of damage and long ranged enemies (gargantulas) can destroy him behind the firewall.

I do not have Pop Fizz. BUT, from what I have seen, Mad Scientist DOES INDEED look like a better all around choice. Mad Scientist involves strategy to be used properly. It is NOT about mashing the A button. Best of the Beast does indeed make you move slowly, and he is very short ranged. He just does not compare to far superior meleers, such as Stealth Elf and Terrafin.

I also picked Shade Master at first thinking the SAME thoughts!! However, I found that path VERY unenjoyable, simply because I like to have a strategy, rather than constantly shooting orbs, that only do 32 dmg all together. Bone Crafter is definitely the best pick for Hex in my opinion.

Actually it doesn't, Beast form makes him move at the same speed as his Normal form, it only looks like he moves slower. He's actually slow no matter what you do, although you can go faster in Beast Form by drinking the purple potion to use the pounce attack or just mash the Attack 1 button without using the combo. Mad Scientist is stronger for PvP, but Story Mode I'd go with Best of the Beast.

I have not tried the Up close and personal path, but I really like Anchors a yay! The anchor damage becomes amazing, and the power swing combo is a showstopper! The whirlpool combo is cool, but very clunky. The main thing he loses points for is not being able to hit his foe if they get on higher ground than him easily.

^ Take the Burning Bow Wow! path, it's more fun and is stronger (both for Story and Battle Mode).
I just tried Pyro Pooch last night and even with the Blazing Wildfire, the fire wall is still too slow to pose a great threat in Battle Mode and you can still get hurt when behind the wall. The Fiery Dogs don't atomically spit fireballs when an enemy comes in range, you have to do it first. They only spit when you do it. My gameplay video on Burning Bow Wow (bad audio though) shall better explain how awesome it is.

Dunno about Hot Head (folks seem to prefer Burninator though), but for Swarm Barberous Avenger.
The damage for the Swarm Form only increases by 2 points and the insectsplosion only does 30 damage and has a medium range, the Bee Cleaver is the only good part (does 80 damage). Even then, the swarm form disables flight and he is very slow at walking, Barberous Avenger helps with his speed. Kepp in mind that I'm basing it on both Story mode and PvP and not just one.

I was thinking the exact same thing also. PvP paths are. Also better for story mode though cuz u r basing ur strategy on a real life opponent which is harder to beat than an NPC. For Hothead iwas considering the fire rain path but I'm not entirely sure.
EDIT: I mean the Oil Baron path.

I think that both of Hot head's paths are pretty much interchangeable for strenght in pvp, but I would give the slight edge to the burninator, as it gives him an easy strategy of stalking the enemy like prey, spamming homing oil blobs that deal a solid 20 damage, and firing off your big flamethrower burst, which I believe does 18 damage, and even more when your enemy is covered in oil. |

i believe Oil Baron is better, it gives him good close range damage, which the other path has pretty much nothing of. and oil and flamethrower attacks are still good even on Oil Baron.

As I mentioned Oil baron, and Burninator are pretty well interchangeable. Oil baron makes him a force up close, no doubt, but it feels less balanced. You get a cool meteor attack from it, but it's kind of difficult to use sometimes. The extra rain damage is probably the highlight of the path. |

Flashwing: Super Spinner is boring so Super Shards. Super Shards is fun, but pathetic in Story Mode though.
Bouncer: I-Beam Supreme is VASTLY superior to Robot Rocketeer, the rockets are still too slow to pose a big threat.

X-Treme Ripto Gems: 360 |
#1346 Posted: 15:52:09 19/02/2013
i have to disagree. you can aim a bit ahead of the opponent, and use the rockets from afar, and use the fist tactic up close. rocketeer beats I-Beam every time.
|
Mrmorrises Platinum Sparx Gems: 7038 |
#1347 Posted: 17:13:30 19/02/2013
I beam supreme makes Bouncer a powerful character both at range, and up close. With the shooting boost from the first upgrade he is capable of a high DPS from afar, and with the other two upgrades ivested in his I beam he can dish out respectable damage up close too, especially with those laser mines that add to the damage.

NO WAY!! You actually have to use the targeting computer to aim the rockets, which is very slow and leavesyou vulnerable in close range. Even then, the rockets are soo slow. I-Beam is Supreme
