Probably. If it's exactly like Mario Kart, than YES!

That would be very interesting. As long as they still used the portal and figures, I think it would be cool. As long as they did it CTR style, I've always thought CTR is far superior to Mario Kart. The original at least, I've never played the others.

Diddy Kong Racing and CTR were the best kart racers. Mario Kart really only has brand name behind. Double Dash was amazing but MK Wii and 7 weren't that good. Poor roster selection and unbalanced items really put a damper on the whole thing.

Meanwhile, Sega shows Nintendo how its done with Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed. That game is seriously the best kart racer in YEARS.

I know this is a little off-topic but Mario Kart Wii and 7 are fun, but the thing that affects them are the annoying items (Yes, I'm looking at you, Blue Shell).

yeah but then youd have to buy like 30+ karts and variants of them and youd place a lander and the kart you want them to use on the portal so that acti/blizz can milk the market on more figs.

You would probably still use the same figures you use for the regular skylanders game and they would have prechosen carts on the game already for each character to use

Karts would already be in the game so no need for figures of them. And they could use the magic and location pieces to unlock extra tracks and stuff. Heck, this game could give sidekicks an actual usage by allowing you to race with them.

And the starter pack could come with the game and one racing themed variant.

At least it would be repayable and fun for more than 2 people.

Items = Upgrades you bought in your Skylanders game? Also collect coins by winning races, and use them to buy more upgrades?

It would still use the portal and toys. Every character would have their own kart and you get different ones with racing packs.

I would by this for sure. Except I don't think we need racing packs. You could unlock some in the game.

No, I don't think they make it, and no, I would not buy it. There could always be a mini game in one of the main games or something though.

They really shouldn't make figure for this and just let it be compatible with the already existing figures/packs. Think how cool it would be to have extra arenas provided by the adventure/battle packs. Sure beats unlocking the same level again in the console.

Any maybe the magic items can be a special addition to the character during selection screen.

On the other hand, I HIGHLY doubt that this would actually make this.

Just give it a few years. They're aiming to extend the franchise with the iOS games, it's only a matter of time before they try and put this out.

I hope IF they make this, you unlock tracks and vehicles in game instead of buying in store (But considering how greedy Activision is, I can imagine them doing that).

Rest assured if they make it we will be buying karts or track lvls for it. I say 30+ karts becuase they would work somewhat like modnation karts buying one kart would open acces to its parts.

you could then costumize your own kart. so you could SWAP parts (in game not on kart figs) So the karts would work more like the adventure packs, but the landers figs would represent the driver.
but knowing acti/blizz unlike modnation each part will effect a certian stat on your car making each car worth buying to get the best car for your driving style or different tracks.
To make them even worth buying more each kart would also probly unlock a new track, or so.

I would be nice if they just released a game with the ability to use the characters we already have but I could not see it happening.

it would make sense to bring out a different style game that uses existing characters, as that brings that audience straight to the game, and they can release some extra exclusive figures for that game to go along with it.

Or just release it along with a main series game (like the 3DS game). Maybe it could even be released with the third or fourth wave of figures for a main game? That way to extend the life of the game?

I think that if this game was made they would make more and more to allow new Skylanders to be playable. I would definitely buy this but then we can't use newer Skylanders. I think they should make special toys that come with some Skylander games like this where you put them on the Portal and it installs updates. Although I could see this being a 3DS game where they could just release updates like other games do.

Like Mario Cart? Yes. I would.

Even though I think this sounds like a good idea, I can imagine it going wrong for a few reasons. Activision will probably make you buy tracks and vehicles in store and not in game. There will probably be a lot of glitches. People would overuse the same characters like they do with Funky Kong and Daisy in Mario Kart Wii. Very expensive. Probably no Wi-Fi or customization.
