There is a lot of hate.

I myself will still be buying it and one of every new character. No more reposes or ingame variant/regular doubles for me. I am waiting to see some gameplay before I complain about anything really. Don't like reposes? Don't buy em. But gameplay is where a real discussion of the quality of the game will reside. Everyone is saying there's no big leap forward. How do you know? All we have are stills. Hell, technically the fact that they are leaping is a big big leap forward for the franchise. So much happening with this it's a scramble. Haters gonna hate.

Ah that's neat, the new dual element gates can be opened by co-op too.

These traversal zones require a certain body type, and the one I saw needed a character with a rocket to enter it. From here, the player was actually free flying around an environment, hitting a bunch of rings in order to complete the challenge. You can expect various new gameplay elements, such as areas where you have to climb on walls, compete in races, and dig to find hidden underground caverns.

And just above that they state that both halves do have their own memory.

What I'm surprised about is that not only do the new Skylanders look quite amazing, but they actually feel like they fit within the game. You think they make some characters that look out of place, but instead they make a pretty nice batch of new guys and we already know 5 out of 32. This is going so far so good.

So... I can take advantage of my second controller, but no one to play with, by using two Skylanders in a 'Dual Element' gate. The Swap Force Zones are quite an interesting concept though - it means that I won't be able to play the game the first time and complete it 100%.

And no, that wasn't sarcasm, I actually kind of liked the idea of collecting more Skylanders from SSA whereas I had no reason to buy Skylanders from Giants other than for the sake of collecting them.

I mean 1 new LC per element, but we don't know any of the LC's yet. I wouldn't be surprised if we hear more when the TRU event actually starts.

When I found out there were only 16 in Giants I was disapointed, although the quality of the levels was pretty awesome in giants, so in a sense that made up for it.

You'll have to buy one of each mobility type. We don't know how many there will be, but my guessing is either 4 (1 mobility type will be shared between 4 'landers) or 8 (1 mobility type shared between 2 'landers) so they'll make us get one of each element.

Well, if it isn't against you morally, Sparx, you can still use the mobility types through the packaging and return them. Unless the new Portal has a reduced reading to prevent that... And I doubt we'll need a new Portal... Nothing so far has mentioned needing a new Portal, I suspect that even the ol' 3DS one will work with it again.

It's already been said that you'll need a new portal - but, once every other game isn't too bad TBH.

I strongly believe that Eruptor and the use of the term series 3 are Geek Dad mis-information everyone else is now peddling as confirmed news.

There was an older Eruptor used on the demo to indicate backward capacity of the new game. Since no one has seen a new Eruptor it seems likely that whoever wrote the Geek Dad article was simply a little confused.

In addition during the video Geek Dad uses the term series 3, but this seems to make the developer cringe. The developer tries to refer to them simply as returning favorites but this did not take in the fan community. I do not expect to see series 3 written on the boxes.
