Spyros adventuressss!!!! WAY more replay value, better levels. My boyfriend and I both find it very diffacult to enjoy giants. Dont get me wrong I like the new guys...but the levels are way too tedious and the game seems way shorter, worse story line to it. WAY worse

I personally haven't finished giants, but it is obviously the better game.

Giants. It's a deeper game clearly designed with all ages in mind, as opposed to S:SA which, though it had a neat concept, was made with kids 5-8 in mind with regards to difficulty and replay value. I may have actually considered Giants if I weren't a parent based on the features it offers, but my being a dad was the only reason we gave S:SA a try, and likely also the only reason we didn't ultimately regret the purchase.

Giants. But I like the element by element style of SSA and I love the ruins.

Spyro's Adventure is good.

i personally like giants more because better graphics maybe that's because im using a xbox 360 also you can customize your hub

If I was forced to choose only one of them, I'd go with Giants. It's just a better game in nearly every way I can think of. Spyro's Adventure may have more levels but in this case I'll take quality over quantity.

I'd pick them both up though if you're planning on buying more than few skylanders. Might as well get the best bang for your buck and Spyro's Adventure is still enjoyable, just not on the same level as Giants. We have both Spyro's Adventure and Giants for xbox 360 but I recently ordered the 3ds versions for my son. Like I said, bang for your buck, at least that's what I tell my wife =).

Well, I like Spyro's Adventure better, because...well, pretty much what Tupelo said, but I like the leveling up to L. 15, and the Giants, and new characters.

While Giants had more polish than its predecessor and was much better in the sound/music department, I give it to Spyro's Adventure. While neither game is groundbreaking, Spyro's Adventure had some novel concepts and gameplay mechanics. Giants added very little new to the formula. Yes, the giant Skylanders are bigger and can do a few extra perks, but they really didn't add that much of a deeper dynamic to the sequel.

The thing that makes me like Giants better is their are far less glitches in Giants. We have some in Giants but not nearly as many as their were in S:SA.

I like them both actually.
Though I have to say I will admit S:SA has better replay value (I think someone else has mentioned this also). But I like how Giants levels are a bit longer.

I like the idea of the giant figures also. So its kinda hit or miss. I dunno.
I have to say though I do like S:SA (Spyro's Adventure)- Better than Giants. When it comes to the CONSOLE version. Now with the handhelds its different. I like Giants better on the 3DS.

Hard to choose really. Theres some aspects of Giants that is better than Spyros Adventure, and then vice versa. But SA gets my vote over all. The levels seemed more fun to me in the first game. Giants isn't as memerable (Spelling?)

I like how in S:SA ya met different characters for each element rescued and the colours of the game. But in S:G Flynn is kinda the main character! And longer levels, ring out and new characters.


I think I like Giants more.

Id say Giants just because of the giants and the HD graphics on the Wii U. I thought it was kinda short and the final battle with Chaos was alot easier than SSA.

spyros adventure seemed harder and had more gameplay.
giants had bigger levels, but took less time to beat.

This all the way. I like the new characters but gameplay seriously went downhill compared to SSA.

I like giants because it brought us flashwing and swarm

Due to the fact that Activision hosed those of us who bought all of the figs from the first game, making them less powerful and unable to unlock their heroic challenges, my vote goes to SSA hands down. Giants has been a flipping money grab with the lame (and again - less powerful) lightcores and the re-poses.

Spyro's Adventure. Not because it was the first one but because Giants isn't really that much of an improvement. The storyline, while going further into the mythos, was weak. The scattered islands and flying ship concept was bland.

Also, you guys might enjoy Kaos but I would have much preferred an actual new enemy. I just felt like NOTHING was at stake in this game while the last game did a better job at immersing me into the world and making feel like something was actually at stake.

Seriously? I thought they were stronger in Giants tbh. It was one of the better things that happened.

The favorite game shouldnt be based on the new characters you got to buy..They only added 16 new guys. They rushed giants. When I just started liking skylanders, giants was already long since announced. They really really should have made a whole new set of figures. Making the first series more collectible and harder to obtain.

It just really bugs me how many people are basing the quality of the games on what figures were released. New figures are to be EXPECTED with the release of a sequel to a game like this. I know new characters is exciting. but they easily could have had new figures and a game that wasnt lacking in so many things i loved about the first.

I know a lot of you might just say they made reposes and not so many new guys because they wanted to dodge making new data for the chips and what ever. But to me thats no excuse for a game that has been as successful as this.

What I meant was that the S2 figs received the ability to swap upgrade paths, have a new Wow Pow move, and the S1 figs had their attributes adjusted downward despite completing all of their SSA heroics. And the fact that you need to buy a S2 fig to unlock the heroic challenge is an incredible annoyance.
