It depends on how they are boxed. With Hot Head, lots of store have received just a couple pack into an outer box with assorted packs also contained within. It is possible, yet unlikely, that an eye brawl could have been shipped by a stock by mistake, but again, I doubt that.

Yes, but when they make them, they don't make a few, they will make thousands. You also have to set the machines up for the cards, the inserts, the bubble, etc. They don't get those sorts of things mixed up between manufacturing waves. Sure they will get a figure put in the wrong box sometimes, but it will be one from the same manufacturing run, not from a completely different run.

Another reason I don't think they will, is because wave 3 could very well see the last of the Series 2 characters. We are 8 Skylanders shy of having all of Series 2 available, and 1 shy of having all 8 of the new Skylanders.

We know Series 2 and regulars are mixed together, in boxes of 12. Since we know Hot Dog will be in a single pack for sure (TRU was taking preorders on it), let's say he's in wave 3. They could throw 2 of him in there, along with a character from wave 1, like Fright Rider. Do 2 and 2, with the other 8 being the remainder of Series 2 Skylanders.

I remember in some interview, where they said they didn't want to drag it on as long as they did with the first game, so I forsee about 4 waves. Wave 3 could have Thumpback and Hot Dog, leaving only 2 NEW characters left, which would be the Giants Ninjini and Eye-Brawl, which could be in wave 4.

In terms of Lightcores, they could do 2 in wave 3 and 2 in wave 4 and call of this done, so they can safely announce another game knowing most, if not all of the characters are out by that time.

At no time did GM78 even remotely suggest that he was speaking for Activision or even repeating things he heard from them.

All I read were rational, logical, sound reasons why Wave 3 is excpetionally unlikely this year - all the wishing in the world won't change that.

Is it possible? Yes. It is likely? No.

Like Chaos said, anything is possible, but likely, no.

I am just speculating, but there is much leading more toward beginning of next year, than end of this year. I just try to throw some logic in there, as to why wave 3 wouldn't be available right now.

I don't work for Activision, but if one throws some ideas out there, you can come up with a pretty good conclusion as to why they won't be out in December.

I absolutely refuse to believe anyone other than my trusted sources, who let me view their emails with my own eyes, because I have ran into employees who swore to me no game called Super Mario exists.

I haven't seen any new emails coming to me lately, stating TRU is going to get wave 3 whenever, and my friends within TRU, Gamestop, or Best Buy haven't told me to expect wave 3 anytime soon.

Everything he said we all know first hand. Nothing was speculation. He gave his reasonings or his speculation but all reasons are valid and might I add, pretty hard to ignore.

The real answer to when wave 3 comes out is "When it's out." Both sides of this argument make valid points but when it comes down to it no one really knows. Some people try to market their assumptions and opinions as gospel (some more aggressively than others) which is more annoying than anything.

You know what's really going to suck? The hundreds of "I told you so" threads that are inevitably going to grace the forums as Christmas gets closer.

No one besides people at TFB and Activision really know when it is going to come out. It could have been set for release already but due to different things has been delayed. I am also not looking forward to the Eye told you so threads. Yes, The spelling is correct.

Unless Activision needs the Skylander Super-Fan's money to improve their 2012 numbers then I don't see why they would put more out. I would LOVE to get some more, but this pre-Christmas batch has been bigger than I expected. However, my addiction wants MORE, and I will buy all they put out!!!

This is what I say also. I was in the camp of them being released after christmas, now I think it will be before since gamestop has the scorpion pack up for pre-order. Also, Amazon has had a few sightings of being able to purchase Thumpback for 14.99.

A few Ebay pre-order listings say early-mid Dec for shipping on Thumpback, but I don't trust those guys too much.

I saw one of the giants I forget what one it was was supposed to be late November. So yeah I don't trust them.

The thumpback listings keep coming down. And you can preorder things years ahead of time. I can go preorder the new animal crossing and we don't even know if that is coming state side. 1/1/13 is a place holder I called my friend at gamestop to confirm.
