Where are people getting this Bronze flameslinger from?I have seen many for sale on EBay. Does anybody have a clue?

It was for sale on Amazon but it didn't last long. Its a Amazon exclusive figure.

Also, there's a Fright Rider GITD exclusive to a UK shop called Argos...anyone live in the UK? Lol

I would happily swap a GITD Fright Rider for a S2 Gold Flameslinger if one of our US friends had a spare...

It has been confirmed as an exclusive.
Its available through Cloud Patrol on Kindle Fire, if you get lucky and it appears in a gold box in the corner..

Through the Kindle Fire edition of Cloud Patrol, you are given a choice to buy a figure through Amazon (the confirmed ones so far are Gold Flamey or Cynder) and you are linked to Amazon.com.

OK, this is an Amazon exclusive it appears the intent was to release it to Kindle Fire customers while they played Cloud Patrol. Amazon did a test once on their website, people found the item and ordered it. All these orders were canceled. The issue here is that people that got the offer from the Kindle game were taking the link provided and posting it on fansites. It appeared on this specific site once in this format (THANK YOU to the person responsible). These oders were not canceled because Amazon had issues determining who the actual owner and rightful claimer to the onetime link was. Amazon stopped offering the item all together because they could not maintain a onetime use link in this manner. Amazon got in 600 of these figures. An unknown amount were misplaced and it is unnown how many of these were shipped. They expect two more orders before Christmas of 600 each. They will fill all pending orders before placing the item for sale again. It is unknown how many orders are actually pending. After Christmas these figures could be become very very common or stay at less than a 2000 print run (convention exclusive numbers). Nobody knows what is going to happen. Homestly if you do not have one on order and want one $80 on ebay may not be a bad price. I expect it to get higher

^ OK, i looked it up on Amazon again (i check for it every few days randomly)... all they have now is the ridiculously overpriced 3 pack with a Golden Flameslinger in it... that item's been up there for a while... prolly cause it's so overpriced! So idk when they'll get the individual Golden Flameslinger Exclusive back... but they do have this one if you're rich and desperate...! lol

I was one of those people who ordered one the first time. And then I was out when they went up the second time. How do you think I feel? haha

I really hope that Amazon thinks a bit here. It'd be great to offer it inside of an app, but why not have THAT discounted a bit? Say, make it $7.99 instead of $9.99? But you'd also have it up for sale on the regular site at $9.99.

It's not like no one will buy it then- people WANT these, and this would encourage them to be more for fans, then for scalpers buying a ton and reselling them. They wouldn't even have to keep them in stock all the time- they could go in and out but enough to keep people satisfied.

Why the can't do this is beyond me. People love variants, and it's fine to have some that are rare. But when you're a retail outlet you should at least have them in stock for a little while so people can buy them.

I so want a variant and this was one way to get one...ripped away by Amazon.

Guys, it wouldnt be a Kindle Fire HD exclusive because both kindle fires use the same store and everything to buy the app, also because my neighbor has the app and the Kindle Fire HD and there is nothing to get it.

Well, that's stupid.

Last year, Activision did the exact same thing with Gold Drill Sgt, Chop-Chop, and Flameslinger. Some bootleggers were able to fake the gold paint on the figures. Because of this, Activision stopped selling these figures, and they are now few and far between. ANOTHER gold variant would be history repeating itself. Hopefully, Activision has made the gold process harder than simply repainting the figures.

you cant fake varients anymore because there codeing inside is diferent. they will show up as special in game if they are legit. i know some rock skylanders are an exsption to this but i believe this is an error and hopefully will never happen again.

If anything fake variants are now easier to sell. Collectors won't want to hunt the chase ones and will pay ridiculous amounts for them, but like you said it's now harder to fake them... A double edged sword, because they register as Special in the game more people will desire them, and then more will start selling eventually regardless of their validity.

Does anyone know if the Bronze Flameslinger is rarer than the Gold one? The reason I ask is because I want a bronze one and would like to know if I would have to pay a lot more for it as they are almost impossible to find unlike the gold ones?

If it says GIANTS on the package it was sold as an S2 Gold Flameslinger. Because the coloring isn't as bright of a gold as the variant from the last game some people on here call it Bronze to differentiate between them.

^It was never sold as "Gold" Flameslinger, or any other "color". It was sold as Amazon Exclusive Flameslinger

Scratch that. The actual listing is "Amazon Exclusive Flameslinger" but in the more options it is listed as "Golden". Never noticed it before.

Actually, there's a blurb on the page that says "Edition: Amazon Exclusive Golden Flameslinger"

I like to think of the S2 version as 24K while last year's is just 10K.
