Glow in the Dark Portal.... differences .....? [CLOSED]

Besides the obvious glow-in-the-dark feature is there any other difference between the 1st XBOX 360 portal and the Walmart GITD portal?

Aanybody that has one of the GITD portals...can you tell me what differences you might have noticed?

I have it and its cooler than I had imagined,it's made of a weird material so when it lights up all f the portal lights up,it's really cool if you play in the dark(for extra awesomeness use a LC Skylander)

It is somewhat seethrough, so when the portal lights up, the entire portal lights up. Then, when the portal shuts off, or has been out in the sun for a period of time and taken back inside, the ENTIRE portal glows in the dark, even the top.

Like I tried to say in my original post..... I understand there is an obvious difference with the GITD feature.... I'm talking about how it works. Anybody noticed if it works any better or any different? Talking about functionality here, not looks....

From what I have heard the LC Skylanders don't work well on any of the old Portals,and comparing it in functionality to the regular new portal,there is no difference

LightCores work fine with the old portals.
