@ scottbot3000 Ooohhh, you're trying to decide which to get first, right? I'd say Ghost Roaster, he comes with an awesome adventure pack, and his Skull Charge is a good move.

Depends on the version you're playing. If you're playing on the Wii, Ghost Roaster is pretty nerfed, but I'd still say he's overall the most worthwhile of the three for story mode. (Zook on Floral Defender is a more effective character, but he's way too stupidly overpowered to be any fun to play as) Ghost Roaster may be nerfed on the Wii, but he's still a lot of fun and really awesome if you upgrade him correctly. The problem with him on Wii is that his skull charge attack can only hit an enemy once, and not multiple times like in the other versions. This means that all of his upgrades that lengthen the time he's in Skull mode actually make Ghost Roaster WORSE because you spend extra time in a mode that won't do anything after the first hit. My advice if you're on Wii and really want him is to only buy the following upgrades.

The first upgrade that increases damage to his tail swipe
The third upgrade that gives you the ectoplasm mode
the fourth upgrade that leaves ghosts behind when you kill baddies with your tail swipe
and his soul gem ability.

This configuration of Ghost Roaster is still really awesome on the Wii game, and he plays much better like this than if you were to buy all of his upgrades. Of course if you're playing on the PS3 or Xbox360 you don't have to worry and can just fully upgrade him down the skull charge path and he'll be fine. Darklight Crypt is also the only adventure pack level actually worth playing, and it even affects the main story mode because after you beat Darklight Crypt, there are additional healing pies scattered throughout the levels that wouldn't normally be there. Ghost Roaster is also the best looking figure of the undead characters, so overall Darklight Crypt is a VERY worthwhile purchase. I'd say go with that.

@DinoHex - Actually, I found FD Zook to be really fun. Mauling people with plants is quite enjoyable...
