I posted a topic if skylanders was the best game of 2011. The majority was no. With the improvements made for this year will it be the best game of 2012?

One of them, at least.

It'll probably make the most money but not likely the best game if you are comparing just the game play inside the game.

It's tough to compare it to any other game right now because to be fair to Skylanders you need to account for the whole experience, and there isn't anything close that provides that type of entertainment experience. I'm sure there are a TON of copy-cats in the pipeline at other game studios but we won't likely see them until 2013.

If you're speaking about just the game, probably not, although the amount of sales in total (the game and figures) will probably be larger.

Maybe, I'm still thinking Rayman Legends, or another wii u game.

Naw, I don't think it will be. A great game, but certainly not the best for this year.

Although the game looks good, I doubt it'll be the best game. There's been a lot of good games that have come out or will be coming out this year.

This is a very silly question at this point. It could be a total bust. Hopefully not, but the fact it only has a year separation from the original is a cause for pause. It has the potential of just being a rushed product, which is why the battle packs just give us an arena and not A full level.

Is this a serious question? The answer is no.

I can easily think of several games that are going to be better than Giants. What's your definition of "best"? Gameplay? Story?

It wont be the most popular (well not with the money spending adults it wont) but it will rake in the most profit or quite a bit anyway...

The best kids game but not for all..

I'm not using your avatar, Kappa, neither is RadSpyro. We both have our own Kaos avatars in different poses - there's no rule on the forum that says only you can use a Kaos avatar and, since we have both had these for months now, it's a bit late to complain about them.

No, only 1 person may use any character. I request, nay demand, all other users cease and desist from using Bash as their avatar, even if their image is static and mine is animated.

Okay, back to seriousness. Yes, it may be a tad confusing to see a similar avatar from someone else as people may associate the avatar to the more frequent poster. I am still not used to seeing Terrafin for anyone other than GM78. But, you know what? People do get over it and after a few mis-reads will quickly learn to double-check the username.

2012 has been a pretty lackluster year in gaming for me at least, so there's a chance I might consider this the best game I played this year. I haven't been playing as many games as I used to. I'm actually more interested to see what the new 3DS game will be like since it has a different developer. The console game of Giants looks pretty much identical to the first game from a gameplay standpoint, so I'm interested to see if they take a different direction for the new 3DS game.

Nope. Kid Icarus: Uprising will stay it. Epic dialogue, lengthy quests and amazingly balanced online multiplayer. That's simply in a nutshell, I could write pages about how good it is.

What does Giants have? Let's see... More unnessicary expenses and a new marketing scheme for characters over last year's mediocre game. Will I enjoy it? Yes. Will it be GOTY? No... I can already tell you that, everything I have played this year except Heroes of Ruin I have enjoyed more than the original game, and this one doesn't look like it's going to do anything to warrant such a title.

It depends for me because the only real game I got this year so far is moshling zoo which was just... awfull. (I only got it because it had a code for a robot in the web game)

No, The Last Story, Inazuma Eleven 2 and Tales of Graces f are the best Games 2012.
