I'm sorry, this has nothing to do with Skylanders. I'm just addressing two problems I see happen often.

Topic bumping and searching. It goes in a cycle. If someone puts up a topic, sometimes another person will come and say "Hey, I already had a topic for this. You should've searched for it." Well, if they had, then that one topic from the other person would maybe be months or weeks old. If the person had searched it up and wrote on it, then another user would say, "Topic Bump!" or report that person. I dislike this very much, but there's not much I can do about it. And yes, I know that this is the nature of the Internet.

I know that this may raise controversy, and I may need to change things, but I needed to get this off my chest. Thanks for your time.

Well thats kinda the point of a game based forum as new users come in they don't know the question was already put in the forum and there is a thread about it who wants to look at 50+ pages of topics when they can just start a new one and have it answered?

@noco99: Well, I put it here because I've seen a lot of it happen in the Skylanders section. Do you have a better idea of where to put it?

@dragonmk: I know. If they don't decide to search the topic, then occasionally another user will correct them and tell them that this topic has already been made. The topic starter may feel bad and close the topic, which in turn wastes Forum space. I'm just saying how pointless this cycle is to get it off my chest.

I agree. The whole "OMG TOPIC BUMP!" thing is kinda uncalled for sometimes too. In the rules it says "A topic cannot be bumped unless the post is fully on topic.

Yup. However, some users don't understand that and must go "TOPIC BUMP!" anyway. I wish they understood.

topic bump should be used if it is of the front page.

If it's on the 1st page it wouldn't be considered a bump.
