I'm considering ordering one for our Wii POP, but am always wary of rechargeable packs like this. Do they use underpowered/cheap/dangerous cells? How long does a charge reasonably last? Stuff like that.

I have Skylanders on the 360 and 3DS, so I have no frame of reference since the 360 version is wired and draws power from the console and 3DS version shuts off automatically (I've not needed to change the batteries yet).

If the answer is yes, frequently then get it...and then post a review on Amazon since there aren't any available yet. My guess is that most people here just swap batteries.

The battery swapping is very annoying. It makes me run out of batteries for my GBA... JUST when I need them. Usual Activision... Not including what they should have.

I have a stash of rechargeable batteries, so while swapping them out of my portal when they die is a little annoying... at least I'm not shelling out more $$ buying new ones all the time. Don't think I'll be getting the rechargeable pack. Taking 2 minutes to swap batteries every so often is something I can deal with.

the battery packs in the picture seem to go with the 3DS portals. if its false advertisement i wouldn't get it.

It says Universal, but upon closer inspection, you're probably right. The Portal displayed has 3 stands instead of 4 like the others, thus the 3DS one.

I was wondering y doesn't the ps3 one wired myself I have xbox but started on wii and wanted HD picture but and no battery reloading so y didn't they do it for it to I know it has enough power to pwer it

Well I can review it, the Hardest part was installing it getting the springs ontop of the metal leads, you can't tilt it because you need it to be on the tabs, had to use a small flat screw driver. Once installed though It works great, I can play twicest as long as alkalines unplugged, or you can just leave it plugged in, it comes with a fairly long cord, and you can play forever!!!! It has been the best investment I've made for the PS3 version, because my batteries always die right in the middle of kaos battles and I can never find AA's when I need them
