In two or three weeks me and my brother will be having a little skylanders tournement. We will be having a total of six people, two of his friends/neighbors and two of our cousins. Now we've already had ourselves a tournament in which my brother beat me in the finals. We all had a great time. Winners and loser alike.

Now this is where I need your help. In the tournament all of us will have two skylanders on our "Team". I want the teams to be as fair as possible so everyone has a good chance at winning, or at least being competitive. I would like it for you guys to help me form the teams.

We own:

Sonic Boom: Medea Griffon Path
DinoRang: Bommerang Master
Bash: Granite Dragon
Trigger Happy: Golden Frenzy
Ignitor: Soul of the Flame
Spyro: Sheep Burner
Prism Break: Cyrstaleer
Gill Grunt: Water Weaver
Stump Smash: Smash N Bash
DarkSpyro: Sheep Burner
Stealth Elf: Pook Saint Blade
Drobot: Lasers


Since there is six of us, so we all get two.

Format: The contestants will be split into groups of three. In the group stage you will play each team in your group twice, using both of your skylanders (Total of four games)

Player 2 / Player 5
Player 3 / Player 6


Player 1 vs player 3
Player 4 vs player 6
Player 1 vs player 2
Player 4 vs player 5
Player 2 vs player 3
Player 5 vs player 6
Player 1 vs player 3
Player 4 vs player 6
Player 1 vs player 2
Player 4 vs player 5
Player 2 vs player 3
Player 5 vs player 6


Then the 1st place team plays the 1st place team of the opposite group, 2nd plays 2nd, and 3rd plays 3rd.

So please give me your ideas for even teams.

Team 1 Gill Grunt, Stump Smash
Team 2 Dino Rang, Sonic Boom
Team 3 Stealth Elf, Dark Spyro
Team 4 Trigger Happy, Ignitor
Team 5 Prism Break, Drobot
Team 6: Spyro, Bash


So what are your teams? We will then pick what we think are the most even teams. After the tournament I will either post video or write up a battle report. Thanks for all the help!

It might help to know their upgrade paths, since most Skylanders are better on one path then the other.

Thanks for the teams. Those look pretty even. I will probably use these. Anyone else have any ideas for teams?

Oh, and Gill grunt is down the water weaver path.

In regards to the fact that it has been discovered that Gill Grunt is actually down the Water Weaver upgrade path, these are my new reccomendations:
Ignitor and Stump Smash,
Stealth Elf and Sonic Boom,
Drobot and Trigger Happy,
Dino-Rang and Dark Spyro,
Gill Grunt and Spyro
and Bash and Prism Break.
