So here's a pic from the Trailer, and it revealed a lot of the new figures, let's take a gander, shall we?



There's a mixture of series 1 and series 2 Skylanders, evident from the different coloured bases, orange and green. Seems like the series 2 portal will have an orange base too.
We can see that amongst the new skylanders, remodels and giants, are the series one figures. We can see series one Whirlwind, Eruptor, Gill Grunt, Spyro, Stump Smash, and others, all in the background. Curiously, the Pirate Seas boat is there too. Maybe the adventure packs will work with Giants then?

Now lets get to the fun bit shall we?

The theme for the remodels seems to be their upgrades.
Double Trouble has his axed staff, not his orbed staff
Sonic Boom's babies are all out
Trigger Happy's Gatling gun is out
Eruptor is in a different (better sculpted) pose
Drill Sergeant has his spiked drill rockets
Drobot has been reposed to look in a different direction (behind the earth giant)
Hex is holding something over her head (a ball of magic, or a skull or something)
Terrafin with his spiked knuckles
We can just see Chop Chop's vampiric sword just clipped (on the far left bottom corner)
Looks like the Whirlwind on the far right has a light up horn...?
That light up Prism Break also looks like a remodel... Does that mean that the 4 new skylanders for light ups will be remodeled ones...?

Curiously, there's a Drobot at the very back centre, flying and shooting eyes lasers that has no base (neither green nor orange) and looks strikingly similar to Jin Saotome's articulated version...

The Giants look particularly awesome. Alongside Bouncer and Tree Rex we have three more.
A giant insect creature standing on an Air base (centre back)
A shark/whale creature standing on a water base (differently coloured to other water bases though...)
An iron golem sort of creature standing on an earth base (behind Cynder remodel)

Along with these guys are also the new skylanders
A Drow character riding the skeletal bird on the undead base (Behind the Water Giant)
What looks like a nymph or mermaid sort of character on a water base (behind Bouncer)
An Arbo looking creature on a life base (behind Bouncer)
A white dinosaur looking creature on an earth base (far left)

Looks like new Legendary characters too. What looks like a legendary Ignitor (reposed, far left) and a Legendary Slam Bam wearing spiked armour (reposed, far right

haha it kind of looks like it!

The trailer says "Over 40 new characters"

Uh..that doesn't make sense to me, unless they're calling the reposes "new"

Also, on the left, there's...a Pirate Seas piece?

Wait until the last few seconds of the screen with the Skylanders on. You can see Ignitor's sword but with a legendary color scheme, and you can make out what looks like Slam Bam with a legendary color scheme.

Is it me, or is that Drobot remodel in the exact same pose as the one Jin Saotome did?

It's shaped as a water base and the insectoid giant at the back has an air base. It might just be a prototype.

Nroc-Nuika, can you see the legendarys on there? Ignitor's on the left - what looks like Slam-Bam on the right.

EDIT: After a closer look, that figure only has two arms (well two I can see). I don't think it's a new water as below the Air Giant there is another Skylander with a water base (that is new).

Not to my knowledge, Marti - they're just to differentiate between Skylanders and Giants figures. There are four "glowing" figures, I believe, Prism Break is one of them.

Hmm.. So what IS that blue one then on the right? Could we potentially have 2 new Skylanders for each element? That would change everything we already know, but it doesn't look like Slam Bam (or my second guess, Wham Shell), even in a Legendary color scheme.

only four glowies? Hrmmmm defo a handful of these I will not be buying. Might just stick to my dragons and undead....idea of buying redesigns very annoying.

It looks like Legendary Slam Bam in his Blizzard Brawler armor.

I think it's four; that's the last I read of it. I would probably buy the glowies (which are the same as the current poses, but with glowy bits), but that's about it, I think. I do like Sonic Boom's repose, but I doubt the quality of the figures will have improved by Giants.

The new water skylanders behind Bouncer looks like some female archer. The pearl coloring is cool.

Chances are it's just a dodgy repose. Or that legendary or the other water is a prototype - but I doubt it.

As pointed out by D-Rex he is wearing his Blizzard Battle armor.

Over-analysis time

Not labeling every new pose, just the obscured or far ones... Names are covering characters, because there's a clear picture anyway.

• "Another Drobot" looks EXTREMELY like Jin's, I call shenanigans!
  
• "Ignitor" really does look just like Ignitor, but with a different sword and color scheme. I doubt they'd have two "cursed flaming armor" characters, at least change the element up or something...
  
• That white dragon has light blue points, and an axolotl-like face (assuming he's looking to the upper right). Some kind of albino but with pink changed to blue? A lightforce?
  
• "thing with a sword above it" - I'm making a bold guess that it's Chopchop because it looks like an undead base, blue, and there's a sword.
  
• The "Siren" one looks feminine, they have either a bow or a blade.
  
• The "Slam Bam" on the right looks like they only have two arms. NM he does have that armor, was thinking of just the snowboard for some reason...
  

Some Skylanders show multiple times like Spyro and Whirlwind, and some don't seem to be there at all... guess they didn't have all the stock images handy.

left side, front row, most of it is cut off but you can see a base and half of a sword.

The picture Phillip posted is of the wrong area. There are already two Chop Chops in the image though.

The reason I linked to the image was to show that the figure in Okaps' screenshot is indeed Chop Chop, I never said it was a different angle of the same image...

You might be on to something there, it could be the dark spyro of 3DS version this year. Yeah after looking closely again I really think its him. The "horn" above Terrafins head looks just like the finger in Pop Fizz's left hand. It matches up pretty well.

Where exactly is the re-modeled Terrafin? I can see the normal sure enough, but after five minutes of searching, I've not a clue.

Remember the prototype Arbo figure, he had a orange base look, it might not be the same pose though.



BTW Prism Break also has a new pose!

I have to guess that the Drobot is just a gaff from someone creating this video or something. I'd certainly hope they had asked about using it (although, I really do like that eye blast pose)

Huh. Actually, scratch that. It's definitely Slam Bam. If you zoom in, you can see a second arm right under the other, so it's just a matter of perspective. Slam Bam also gains armor kind of like that later on too. (See Blizzard Battle Armor)

So, those 2 will probably be TRU exclusives.
