The Megabloks sections at the local stores are really small, even the Duplo dwarfs it, hopefully they'll expand those when the WoW sets come out...

Another way to exploit little kids so they can get there parents to spend more money!!!!

about six months ago at work(TRU) i said to my manager "now that the moshis are out by megabloks, i wonder how long it will be before either lego or megabloks take on a skylanders franchise" now what i should have done was contact the companies and made the suggestion

Have to admit though, the figures are sharp. I'm guessing TFB shared the digital models or worked with Mega on making the figures similar to how they produced the game figures on the rapid prototype printer.

My wallet is starting to cry...

Mega Bloks feel cheap, look cheap, don't fit together as well as Lego but aren't actually cheap... I love Skylanders but their alliance with Mega Blocks makes me feel a little bit sick.

Though I guess it means I won't be spending any money on this which is somewhat of a consolation.

Um... are we looking at the same things? Tree Rex doesn't look awful but I'm not as familiar with him as Spyro so maybe I'm not seeing the full horror but Spyro looks just awful...

really glad i made the decision a while ago that i would only purchase items that interacted with the game. at least by making this decision i do have a chance of getting one of each.

I'm sorry those might be a tad on the fugly side, but I'm pretty sure I'll be buying these....I love anything that has to do with blocks/Legos

Hopefully they won't cost too much. In any case they will be great gift suggestions for grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. who aren't into "those darn video games".

Hopefully they will have a sweet jungle/forest set.

EDIT: Just read the article link and looked at the pic some more. This looks really great -- first of all - sheep! my girls will love that. -- Second of all -- yay for articulation.

I hope they do those little mystery figure packs for skylanders. That would be pretty cool, involving Kaos, Hugo, Flynn, Cali figures alongside the skylanders, etc etc.

Lol that is one seriously derpy looking Spyro.
And people complained about how Skylanders in general ruined Spyro's look. This is... so much worse.

Tree Rex actually looks pretty good (but I don't have much to compare to), same with the sheep. Spyro just has this seriously derpy face though.

I'm defenetely gettting these, in fact, yesterday I was just thinking how I wish they made some Lego Skylanders...

Why oh why didn't they just to a cross promotion like this in the first place and put the RFID chip in their butt or something? Then my kids could really play with the figures instead of having to keep them on a shelf until we pop in the game.

they combined the 2 things i collect love it glad mega bloks is doing this cause i like their figures over lego. To people saying they look bad, you must consider how small these things are actually going to be. For their size mega bloks does amazing with packing in details while at the same time keeping them very poseable

Now I know why I have been delaying getting my kids any legos.

This exactly. It makes me so happy. I remember getting all excited when there were Spyro Happy Meal toys. This is so much better. :)
