well they have comfirmed a wii u ssb4 and i was wondering would spyro be in this game they said they will only use characters which are in nintendo system game which all the skylanders are so mabye there will be 2 games with skylanders in this year

Love it, that should also be a figure thing which by you buy figures (SSB4 characters)to unlock them in the game!

think about it, it will advertise there series while making them know the characters and wanting mother of them i downloaded an emulator to knoww who the earthbound characters where and i wouldnt know many games with out brawl i play my favourite game because of it (kirby)

I see your point, but SSB IS Nintendo characters. The only reason Sonic and Snake were in it was because Sonic has been in cross-overs with Mario - so it's like Nintendo. And I believe the creator of Metal Gear asked Nintendo if Snake could be in it.

also to ajawesome i love your idea for the figures i just hope there cheaper or you start of with the characters from the old game on your roster then the figures you have to by to get more i hope skylanders from your spyros adventure game work on the ssb4 portal that might save me some money

I know so they could let you use your own skylanders figures for it then you just have to focus on getting non skylanders characters

It's possible, of course SSB hasn't been restricted to Nintendo exclusives since Sonic and Snake in Brawl, it's just very, very, very, very unlikely.

I can tell you, right now, that no Skylanders characters will appear in the next super smash bros game.

Nintendo said that only character from Nintendo games will appear. Skylanders belongs to activision, not nintendo, so they won't be in the game. At all. If I am wrong however, I'll give my entire skylanders collection to the first person to point it out. I'm that confident.

On another note, I would love to see the SSB franchise utilize the toy-with-game mechanics. It is after all, set in 'the land where trophies fight' and skylanders' figures are kind of trophies... You could buy a figure to unlock it in the game straight away, but ultimately the game would be complete, you would just have to unlock them by other means. I'd love super smash figures! Nintendo never makes toys for their characters...

None shall. HAL Labaroty may remove Sonic and Snake in SSB4. If they did they would give a big rival a big chance of becoming the next best thing,Nintendo is #1 so far(Opinion),I'm starting not to make sense... I basically saying they won't,if they did people would be like WE WANT (insert skylander). Like Sonic characters. People will want even MORE skylanders then giants.

Honestly, anything is really possible. The creator of Metal Gear practically begged for Snake to be in and Sonic was a fan favorite.

Truthfully, Spyro in TLoS series would have been perfect in Brawl. He's got a wide variety of moves that would fit in just fine, and a final smash of Convexity..whatever.

But since Spyro's been tossed around a lot, it seemed kind of far off if he'd ever appear. Now that he's..I guess owned by Activision, the possibility is back up there though. I wouldn't be surprised if Sony pulls him out as one of the playable characters for their All Stars game though.

I've yet to hear them 100% say they're not doing any other characters besides Nintendo ones. Last thing I remember hearing was Sakurai was thinking of Capcom characters. I'm sure the roster WILL change, although I wouldn't rule out anything yet. I know Playstation is doing one..that's what I mentioned in the last post with Sony potentially using Spyro.
Sonic and Mario are still doing team ups with that Olympic stuff, so I wouldn't necessarily rule him out quite yet either especially because of how popular he was.

I believe I heard nintendo talk about addons for SSB4 so Im not sure about that.

I've actually had an idea on how that can work. It can almost be like a Pokemon Trainer kind of team, and it's based off the figures you get for the console version.

Trigger Happy - Light weight
Spyro - Middle weight
Gill Grunt - Heavy weight

This idea mostly came up in my head since Triggs and Gill get some spotlight in Skylanders products, so why not have them join Spyro if it's gonna have a Skylanders feel?
